SOG Kiku Assisted Folding Knife | 3.5-Inch Black TiNi VG-10 Blade, Linen Micarta Handle (KU-3002)

Sharp out of the box. Light weight and I barely notice I am carrying it. It is made of LG10 steel which is fairly high quality steel. From all the reading I have done, this steel holds an edge for a good amount of time and does not dull easily. Also LG10 should be fairly corrosion resistant as well. The assist is a little tight out of the box. I have had other sog knifes and I really enjoy this one so far.

I bought this knife back in 2017 knowing that SOG has a great reputation. I’ve worn it on my pack pocket every day for the last 4 years. The clip eventually expands outward which you just need to clamp back down on; but I like that it hides the knife well. I’ve thrown everything at this knife and it’s still holding up like it’s new. It’s been the best working/hunting knife I’ve ever had. The handle is as comfortable as it gets and I like the assisted opening. I’ve never had an issue with the safety and it came razor sharp. I’ve only had to sharpen it twice and this was due to preference not because I felt I had to. It holds an edge well. I was in the Marines and can say I like this better than the blade we carried: kabar. I had a fixed kabar and a pocket knife; SOG kiku definitely beats them both. You won’t go wrong buying this knife. I do recommend the black blade over the normal steel finish. I also have 2 kiku’s, the tan handle and the black handle. Zero issues with either.

I love this knife! It is great for tactical, duty or everyday carry. The handle is awesome and so is the assisted opening feature. The steal is great and the design by the Japanese knife maker is wonderful! I would definitely recommend this knife.

Maintains an edge, tight, operates flawlessly, clip location perfect, grip is not only good looking but holds well. I carry it daily.

I love the grip and feel. It’s a really unique SOG, that is a nice, high end pocket knife.

The media could not be loaded.  Just received this knife, and the locking mechanism is already broken. After only two days, when the knife is opened normally, the lock button sticks hard. When the lock button is stuck, the blade is not locked in place. It moves back and forth with little effort. If I open the knife slowly(resisting the spring assist all the way), the lock doesn't stick, and the blade doesn't jiggle. I really like this knife, and will get a replacement after returning it. It looks like almost all of the reviews are really good, so I hope I just got some kind of dud. Will update when/if replacement received.Edit: The replacement had the exact same issue after two weeks. I like almost everything about the knife and really wanted it to be my daily carry, but I can not recommend a knife with such a terrible locking mechanism.

Solid knife and the flip action is very smooth which required next to no break in time. You can tell this was well made and should last.
