I use this cable to connect my HD6XX to my FiiO Q2 and it works perfectly and Sounds perfect. While I can't attest to whether balanced audio from the DAC sounds better than the 3.5 I can say that that the volume is high enough to not have to add additional boost. Knowing that the power output is higher on the 4.4 port I knew I'd have to use that. When I tried on 3.5, sure enough it wasn't enough and I had to turn on the additional gain button. Using this cable and the 4.4 balanced port worked like a charm. More on the cable, the quality feels top notch. I had no issue with the connectors. Everything feels like quality. Zero issues with the sound. It sounds the same as the stock cable. For what it's worth I bought a $150 cardas cable and that also sounds exactly the same. I either don't have an ear for the subtle difference in these cables or there is no difference. So I'm completely with happy with them and highly recommend them.

I had it for a year , the left connection started to static or lose sound . The wiring and cover start ti feel loose and lost quality feel . I ended up ordering a different brand overall cuz it’s a common complaint about losing sound over time .

Update Apr 27 Sent seller a message through Amazon system. Apologized, sent new cable! no questions asked, didn't ask for the bad one back. Got it in 2 days. Now THATs great customer service. If you’re on the fence, can’t argue whether or not they stand behind product. ————————- Cable was ok. Left channel has gone all staticky and cuts out. Just happened all of a sudden. Tried cable that came with headphones and it’s fine. Disappointing. Won’t buy again.

The most important factor is sound quality. And in that I've no complaints. They'd be a 5-star no-brainer for one issue. The strain relief on the male terminal end isn't quite good enough. A 40 to 50 mm strain relief jacket extending past the plug end would be ideal to me. The strain relief isn't quite good enough for a desktop unit.

Cable is a great fit for desktop headphones. It is well constructed and is quality built.
