I'm wonder what the pH of this product is? I know glycolic acid needs to be at a pH below 4 to function as an exfoliant.

The pH is not stated on the bottle. However, this is an excellent product. It more effective than the DCL brand 20% that I previously purchased from my dermatologist.

What percentage free acid does this lotion contain?

10% Glycolic Free Acid and 10% Glycolic Salt for a total of 20%

How long do I leave it on? I put it on at night and then won’t wash it off till the next night and it made my skin so much darker. Help

I leave it on overnight, it usually brightens my skin. Does it hurt or itch? You may have had an allergic reaction. Do not continue to use it. Was the skin exposed to the sun later in the day? If so, you need to wear sunscreen since AHA makes your skin photosensitive. Even if it’s been a couple of days after the first use your skin will still be sensitive, use sunscreen. I’m no dermatologist, but I’d say wait a week before you attempt this again. Please let your skin recover before applying this chemical exfoliator. Again, always apply sunscreen.
