Practical Solution for Close-Up Viewing
I'm old, my vision isn't getting any better, and I've actually stashed hand-held magnifying glasses at various spots around my house in case I need to read or see anything close-up. But it's been very difficult to use the magnifying glass while doing anything else, like writing or working with a tool. So when I stumbled upon this product, I snapped it up. And it's everything it claims to be. Very easy to put together and use, stays on easily. There is a wide range of magnifying sizes, you just have to pick the one that's right for you. The light is perfect in very difficult-to-see situations. And amazingly, the price isn't much higher than some of the handheld lighted magnifying glasses. It's one of those products that makes you think, "Why didn't someone think of this before?"

Basically, it's a good fit for my needs and works well.
It seems a little clumsy to use, but maybe I'm just not used to it yet. It's not too heavy, and seems like a good size for most projects. I'm still glad I bought it, and am satisfied with.

not helpful
The magnification was fine, It just wouldn't line up. The wire hanger would slide and not adjust to where i needed it to be so I could read. You have to move the book to meet where the magnifier is and start all over again.

Great for hands free use
I bought this for my mother who has macular degeneration and her eyesight has significantly declined. This helps her gain what she’s lost. She can make out her bills and do some of her puzzle books while being hands free

Handsfree Magnifying Glass
I bought this handsfree magnifying glass because I've recently had cataract surgery and PRK and my eyes are still adjusting. I also thought it would have lights on it, it didn't. The worst thing is the magnifying glass keeps coming off the neck holder. I'm constantly putting it back on plus its not glass, its a plastic. It's hard to see anything out of it because of the contouring in plastic and I'm constantly moving the thing or my head to find a spot I can see out of. Thankfully it's been a month since my last surgery and I don't need anything but readers. I didn't send them back but wouldn't recommend them.

Accomodation for low vision
I am still trying to decide if this is the item that will enable me to read books. The available area of magnification appeals to me. The instructions were somewhat skimpy. It was a challenge to open the space for batteries. I would have appreciated written instructions, regarding the size, number and putting in the needed batteries. Remember the user of this item has vision problems. Once I opened the compartment for the batteries I had to get a magnifying glass, , my glasses and a light to read the battery size and number required. Printed instruction that a person with low vision can read would eliminate frustration
