Completely effective with no scrubbing and low odor
I just moved to a new home that had some sort of disgusting, sticky wax on the no wax kitchen, laundry room and pantry floors. I firmly draw the line at tolerating ammonia fumes indoors which is what Google seemed to think I should use to strip wax. I did try some vinegar based solutions but I found but the nasty wax just laughed those off.I was ever so grateful to find a wax remover that was safe for no-wax floors and did not involve ammonia. I was even more grateful that while the New Beginning smelled like a commercial cleaner the odor was quite minimal and the product worked just as easily as was indicated in the directions. Two to three minutes on the floor and all the icky wax came up with absolutely no scrubbing whatsoever. It was an added bonus that the New Beginning didn't leave much of anything in way of residue once wiped up and rinsed very easily. The floors looked shiny without putting anything else on them but they are over a decade old so I opted to protect the finish with Armstrong Shinekeeper Resilient Floor Finish 32oz. The floor now looks brand new.

I use this on Alterna Tile by Armstrong.
After deep cleaning my bathroom floor, I keep New Beginnings in a spray bottle for touch ups. Once n Done for weekly cleaning (also part of this series of products). New Beginnings works AMAZING. Use a stiff brush for the grout, Scotch brute sponge for the tile.

I want to give this 100 stars
I live with roommates and our 300 sq ft of vinyl had been severely neglected over the years. I'm talking so much dirt build-up that people think the floor is a different color. I've tried SO MANY THINGS (list at the end) with only one cleaner producing any results and only with about 5-10 minutes of work for each 12" x 12" section.I found out about this on Reddit (where else) and decided that it was worth a shot. It seemed expensive but the best things often cost the most. I was a little confused about how I should apply it as you are NOT supposed to dilute it at all and ended up just pouring it little by little straight from the bottle. I followed the instructions exactly (only doing about 3' x 3' at a time, scrubbing with a nylon scrub brush, using a sponge mop to spread and pick up the cleaner, and using a different mop to rinse with water after) and HOLY COW. I mean, look at my pictures!! The dirt practically vanished. I didn't have to scrub hard at all to losen almost a decade of dirt. I ended up doing most of the floor twice but, aside from some extremely bad sections, it wasn't really necessary. If you're facing the same about of dirty vinyl I was then this will be worth every penny!!For the people like me who want to know exactly how to use this: I filled up two buckets with water - one for rinsing and squeezing out the sponge mop, and one for the rinse mop. Like I said, I poured the cleaner from the bottle onto the floor - err on the side of too much rather than too little. I spread it around with the sponge mop and then rinsed the sponge mop. I set a timer to make sure I left it on for at least three minutes and got down to scrub with my scrub brush (and make sure to wear gloves!!) When the brush was looking dirty I rinsed it under running water in the sink before moving to the next area to scrub. I didn't see any damage from leaving the cleaner on for more than 3 minutes, so I would leave it on until 3 minutes had passed or I had finished scrubbing. I mopped up the cleaner with the sponge mop, rinsing the mop frequently, then used the other mop to rinse the floor with the water from the other bucket.Seriously, this stuff rocks.(Other things I tried that didn't work: a bunch of floor cleaners; baking soda and vinegar - it was actually WORSE than just water; Dawn dish soap; Tide powder; liquid Persil; 409; Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner; Bar Keepers Friend. The one thing that DID work was Soft Scrub with bleach but it took a TON of elbow grease to get the dirt up and required rinsing the sponge anywhere from 5 to 10 times for each square foot to remove all the cleaner.)

It works
I’ve used this for many years and it worked very well on my old linoleum floors. Be very careful protecting your hands and knees. It’s a messy jobthat takes time but it works.

Works well & works quickly.
I have used this product for over 20 years on my kitchen floor. It removes the wax or polish build up easily. Best product I have found. I also use the same brand Shine-Keeper to replace shine & Once’ n Done floor cleaner. Shine- keeper has a very pleasant feeling on bare feet also. Very pleased with these products.

This stuff just amazed me. I had used another product
This stuff just amazed me. I had used another product, but my floor didn't seem to be getting clean. I could almost see a shadowy "path" on the light marbleized pattern that my dog walked. I was thoroughly disgusted with my 5-year old vinyl floor and wished I didn't have it installed. I contacted Armstrong, and they recommended the "New Beginning Extra-Strength Floor Stripper". I bought it in desperation, read the instructions and poured a little puddle on my vinyl floor. It turned dirty looking immediately, and I smoothed it around with a sponge mop and let it sit a couple minutes. When I mopped it, I was totally amazed! My floor looked new with no effort, and the rinse water was black just from a 4'x4' area! This stuff is fabulous. I am so glad I contacted Armstrong. They led me the right way in these products! I am so happy I feel I should be a paid advertiser for their product! The third product was the "Once and Done" that I will be using to keep it looking this way. I haven't used it yet, but I am hoping it is as good as the other two. They do make great floor care products.
