Our 16-1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier was recently diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumor in the back of his throat. The metallic smell of his breath tipped us off that something was wrong. His mouth is ultra sensitive to the touch. We started looking at options of products made in the USA. The videos of Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Pet Dental Foam Tartar Remover & Breath Freshener were so helpful, because it seemed as though each dog loved the taste. And that is exactly the case with our pup. There is no fuss. His breath has improved dramatically. And, we also believe the affected area looks healthier. The Vet says that our Baby Boy has about 4 months left. My wife and I want to thank the folks at Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Pet Dental Foam Tartar Remover & Breath Freshener for giving him some much needed relief, as we do our best to allow him to pass with dignity.

I have not used this yet on my dogs. It arrived sticky feely. I knew that there was some leakage from the lid. I contacted them and they were helpful and are sending a replacement. After that I took off the wrapping on the bottle. The lid was not quite tightened. I hope that the replacement is tightened enough to stop leakage. Nylabone has always been a quality product.

My beloved 9-year-old papillon is pretty much a perfect pup, except for his awful teeth! He has had a tooth cleaning within the past few months (and had one extracted), and he ALREADY has significant plaque. Every single night he gets his teeth "brushed" with Maxiguard oral gel (as recommended by our vet), but it's not enough. Since he absolutely will NOT tolerate an actual toothbrush, we have added this dental foam to our routine in the hopes of improving his breath and preventing plaque build-up. Obviously, I can't say it has fixed all our problems, but the smell is a lot better than stinky dog breath, and my pup doesn't mind the taste. It is much easier than brushing his teeth and cheaper than some other products we've tried. I will continue using this to see how well it works for my pup, but I'm hopeful so far that it won't hurt, at very least!

I bought this foam about two weeks ago wishing to remove some minor tartar on a few of my dog’s teeth. I used one pump on each side of her mouth every day. She had no stomach issues (50lbs) and liked the taste! It was fast and easy and with consistent praise she got used to it quickly. Along with teeth brushing with Nylabone tooth paste and access to a (real) bone I saw results quickly! After about 1 week only one tooth still had tartar, the other teeth had only minor stains left, and her breathe was great. After 2 weeks, all teeth are practically tartar free and the stains on her other teeth are fading. I am planning to continue use daily until all staining and tartar remnants are gone and then switch to weekly (keeping brushing daily). If you’re conflicted, I’d say go for it! Definitely worked for me and helped avoid much stress for both me and my dog.

This foam is very good; I use it for my Frenchie's. I recommend it for other pups.

My dog hates this, spearminty flavor and the smell is so strong

I bought this because the large tooth on the back top which has a deep vertical groove was filling with yellow tartar even though I brush her teeth with a microfiber toothbrush daily! She's only 1-1/2 years old and it was already reaching the gum! I'd heard there are products that work and decided to try this. I let her smell it. She thought that was pretty good. Daily for 2.5 weeks, I put on her harness prior to a walk, then have put about 1" of foam on my right index finger, lifted her lip, and put on the upper teeth, aiming for the tooth with tartar. I do it on both sides. She loves it and since it's related to her walk, she sits very willingly. Today, one tooth is totally clear and the other had a single dot on it. Yay!! It works and this bottle will last a long time! Compare that to the $450 to $650 my vet wants to clean teeth! I decided to choose this product as opposed to putting something in her water or the spray because she's only 18 lbs and I wanted to control how much I use. I'll probably cut it back in awhile to twice a week for maintenance, although she really loves the routine!

The product is easy to use and the dogs tolerate the taste, one likes it the other tolerates it. Been using it little over a month and noticing the tarter is starting to change appearance, other reviews said it takes several months to clean off built up tartar but at least I'm seeing something happen. Tarter is still too hard to remove with a pick but something is happening in there, both dogs breath has improved 95%. Will need to re-review in a few months but at this point I'd recommend it if for nothing else the ease of use and what it's done for their breath. Any chemical is bad but I did not see anything in the ingredients that gave me great concern.

I have recently started using it 4 days now and seeing a great difference with the smell in my furkids mouth now it doesn't smell rotten fish anymore... waiting to write a review once I see tartar vanishing on my big boy

Works amazingly! I have used this for a few weeks now and my dog’s teeth have been quite clean looking and a lot of the tartars gone away. My little guy has chewed on a lot of toys and different chew treats for dental, but he’s always had a little bit of tartar and that is slowly disappearing since using this.
