Must have!!!
This stuff is always great to have on hand, blue in color, no smell and doesnโt do much for water clarity as it is solely for aiding fish healing and health, definitely acts as a medication and works great for even fish with dropsy. We had rescued a dropsy fish from PetSmart and he had severe spinal curvature, we put him in a hospital tank to live the rest of his life happy, and he lasted almost an entire year!!!

Saved my betta
My betta had awful fin rot that wasnโt getting better with anything else I tried. A few weeks after using this and his fins are showing growth and heโs back to his usual activity level. Would absolutely recommend for anyone whose fish has stubborn fin rot.

Saved the day!
Stocking a 1,000-gallon freshwater community tank is no jokeโfor me or the fish. To help kickstart the cycle and establish good bacteria, I added 120 Longfin Congo Tetras and 550 Neon Tetras. But by day two, I noticed some of the Congos were showing signs of fin rotโtail fins disappearing fast. Not good. Turns out the stress of the move weakened their immune systems, making them vulnerable to the bacteria that cause this disease. I quickly realized that netting affected fish in a 13-foot-long aquarium just wasnโt going to happen, so I started looking for a broad-spectrum solution. Thatโs when I found Seachem StressGuard and decided to give it a try. I started treatment the very next day. I still lost a few fishโabout 3 or 4โbut they were already in pretty rough shape, with almost no tail fin left. The good news? The rest of the tank stabilized quickly, and I started seeing signs of healing and regrowth across the board. I used StressGuard for a full weekโdouble-dosed the first three days, then tapered off for the next four. It wasnโt cheap, but it absolutely saved me from a much bigger loss. The fish bounced back, the disease stopped spreading, and the tank finally got a chance to settle and cycle properly. I've already picked up two more gallons of StressGuard for future use. From now on, Iโll be using it prophylactically every time I stock new fish. Discus are nextโwish me luck! Huge thanks to Seachemโthis product seriously saved the day!

Works Like Magic for Stubborn Betta Fin Rot
My betta and I have been fighting fin rot on and off for a while now. Recently figured out what the cause for the tears that allowed fin rot was, and removed it from the tank. I've tried lots of things, from aquarium salt to tablet based anti-fungal/bacterial medicines, which have all worked mildly for him. He was as happy and energetic as could be, but it was sad to see his fins torn and short all the time. I did some research, and I decided to try this Stressguard. My thought process was this: combine aquarium salt and Stressguard. The salt helped disinfect any open wounds, and the Stressguard would come in, bind to the exposed proteins in the wounds, promote regenration, and create a strong slime coat to protect against any foreign bodies. It worked perfectly! This combination, plus a 50% water change every day for a week straight allowed my betta to consistently regrow his fins back more than I had ever seen before. This product is awesome. You just mix in the appropriate dosage for your tank, and done. You can safely double the dosage, and you can add this to the water every day until your fish shows signs of improvement, as the bottle says. Not only does it help with healing and regrowth, but it helps with the stress of new water/water changes every day during treatment, and he was just chilling out like his normal self would and showed no signs of stress. The only downside to this product is that it does turn your water slightly blue and can stain, as it's a dark blue color, but that's no reason for you to not use it. I highly recommend trying this for stubborn fin rot. Protecting your fish's slime coat when treating fin rot is so widely overlooked, but I found it to be extremely effective.

Great Water ConditionerโJust Watch for Staining
Iโve been using this aquarium stress coat for a few weeks now and the results are impressive. It instantly calms my fish during water changes, and Iโve noticed less visible stress in the tank. It also helps with fin repair and removes chlorine/chloramine effectively. One word of cautionโthe blue dye in this product does stain, so be extra careful when pouring or measuring. A few drops on your hands or countertop will leave a mark if not wiped up immediately. Despite that, itโs a solid product and does exactly what it claims. I recommend using a dedicated measuring cup or syringe and handling over a sink. A great addition to any aquarium care routine!

StressGuard only lasts a day in your aquarium, which is perfect for calming fish down when moving them, after a water change, or after an "altercation" between fish. It helps the fish by protecting their slime coat & reducing ammonia toxicity. It is also an antiseptic ("protein active colloids") that binds to exposed proteins in wounds for first-level healing. It is safe to use with all medications (except ones with copper) to reduce the stress of fish while in your hospital tank. StressGuard is safe for shrimp, snails, plants, and reefs. It really works. You'll notice a difference - stressed fish WILL calm down. I use it routinely.
