A durable, economical writing surface. For use with chalk. Real wood frame. Hand finished in with a casual, antique effect. Lots of finish variation and grain variation. Almost a "well used" appearance - intentionally - though the product is brand new.

Excellent experience
I recently purchased a large chalk board from BillyBoards and had an excellent experience.They reached out to me initially to ensure the details of the order. I did have some difficulties with the shipper, but Karen @ Billyboards resolved the issue immediately. The board is high quality with a well constructed trim and it looks great in my recently refurbished family room.

It's pretty, but I can't hang it.
Pros: The wood is beautiful. It came with chalk tray as expected. It shipped quickly.Cons: The wall mounting hard ware that they give you is incomplete. Per their instructions, there should be a plywood back on the frame to place the screws. There was no plywood back. They only provide a handful of short screws and then advise you to add long screws (not included) for wall mounting. They also advise that you use dry wall anchors (not included) if you can't hit the studs with the long screws. While this all makes sense, I don't have the time for the runs to home depot. I don't have the right tools to place a plywood back...Long story short, It's pretty, but I can't hang it. So, I will be returning it.
