bought this as a soft kit helmet for buhurt sparring. it works well and makes a funny bonk sound when you get hit in the head lol

Good head gear.
Great baseline head gear for karate. It has an optional face shield that you can install. It takes a moment of patience to get on, but it wasn't that bad and took less than 5 minutes. Kids love them and the price is right.

The product is quality BUT
The helmet is very nice, I do want that to be known. It got lost in transit, I purchased an almost identical helmet else where for more $. Then I received it after canceled by Amazon. So I donated it to a student in my class.

Smells bad, mild irritant
The outer surface is covered in polyurethane which stank heavily. Caused mild skin irritation. Not so sure I would recommend.
