Keeps the spare clean for under-body spare location.
I purchased to cover external under-body spare tire mount that has been a great dirt depository. The cover has been holding up well against road debris and grime. The cover gets really dirty but the spare tire will be pristine for the inevitable roadside repair in a rainstorm. It also protects the drop down mechanism so some extent, which previously was locked up due to rust and dirt. It's open on one side so it's still possible to use a cable lock. Recommended.

You get what you pay for.
It gets the job done at a price that I was willing to pay. I'm not sure about long term durability because of the material that it's made of. It is NOT any kind of leather.
