Carbon fiber panels countersink holes ground on wrong side
Don’t buy this unless they have fixed all the problems. I took a chance even with the bad reviews on horizon hobby website , “big mistake“The carbon fiber panels should be drilled out with countersink holes so the flat head screws can properly seat to provide a smooth surface to mount the motor. The shock shafts have sharp edges on them that make it very difficult to build them without tearing the seals. I lubed them up with green slime and shock oil afterwards to get them to slide into the shock body seals. I would not spend $599.00 on this kit. This kit has potential if they get the carbon fiber panels problems sorted out. If they can’t at least provide aluminum ones like come with the ready to run. Horizon Hobby quality going down.
