This is a very entertaining movie and well acted by all the cast. No question why it won all the awardsthat it did. Very good movie.

This is one of those movies I put on when I'm sick in bed. I love watching old movies when I'm sick. For me, old movies are the chicken noodle soup of my soul. Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClaine are both so good in this movie. Their chemistry is fun to watch.

I really loved this movie. Have to remember the time in which it was created to enjoy it, try not to compare it to what is and is not considered kosher for movie standards in these current times.

Arrived on time, sealed as promised, got something that was even better than advertised. Thanks!

Solid performances by all. This movie was made in the early 60s, yet it could have been made today and still would've engaged audiences. This movie is about a man who lets his coworkers and boss use his apartment for extramarital affairs. Things get a bit more complicated when he falls for one of the gals in his office building. Shirley Maclaine who plays an elevator girl. His boss, played by Fred Macmurray is having an affair with her, but Jack Lemmon isnt aware of this until later in the movie. The rest I will not spoil by giving too much information. A good movie, but it's in black and white.

Enough has been written about the stars of this film, recognition of the superb supporting roles is way overdue. Everyone does a great job and they all move the story forward so well. If you've never seen this film, see it, enjoy it, and then see it again and pay more attention to the large, excellent supporting cast the second time through.

There are so few perfect 10/10’s in the world. This is one of them. Entertaining all throughout, every second and every moment. Smart, memorable dialogue, relatable characters, and a tight written plot. The amount of quotable scenes here is insane. “When your’e in love with a married man never wear mascara”.Jack Lemmon is wonderfully fast paced, charming, hilarious, all of the above. Everything you want out of a protagonist in a light hearted comedy. At times his body acting and mannerisms remind me a bit of Chaplin.I’ve never seen characters with such life and personality. Especially Fran, who plays a torn soul who prefers her pocket mirror broken so it can represent how she feels after her affair with Mr. Sheldrake.There’s a scene where Mr. Sheldrake and Fran are fighting inside the apartment which I think lands as one of the greatest scenes of all time. The music, pacing, acting, dialogue, mood, everything is perfect. Its scenes like this that make me unbelievably happy to be living this life, with my eyes and ears being able to experience such beauty on screen. Movies are made to represent moments like this in life. Absolutely heart wrenching. Every scene that follows this one is on par.I’d hate for this review to be the place where I discuss the topic of the ancient, now-abandoned, version of chivalry from the 1950’s. Of course times have changed for the better, and women being gawked at, followed, or researched on isn’t a form of flattery anymore. Shirley MacLaine’s character deals with these people with ultimate class I feel. While I can see modern audiences taking offense to some of the moments of the film, I’m happy to know the character in he receives most of it doesn’t just brush it off.Seeing as how this film was released in 1960, it sort of exemplifies the beginning of an era. It almost seems like the filmmakers knew it was. Up to the point in time of the films release, no movie ever came close to this form of quality. So with all that being said, I implore everyone to watch this film. It’s got everything. Sunset Boulevard, a little bit of Pulp Fiction, All About Eve, love triangles, and infidelities. All bunched up together to make one of the greatest films of ALL TIME. Thank you to Billy Wilder, Jack Lemmon, and Shirley MacLaine.

My daughter is discovering old movies and we are watching together. I didn’t have this one so decided to buy it. Looking forward to watching with my daughter! Seller was great! Great price, fast delivery and in great condition. Will watch for more from this seller!!

You can not beat ! Classic artists ! They could never remake this movie because so much of the acting craft today is overly enhanced. The movie touch up has become common with almost every shot.Just can not denigh the passion in this classic.
