This is a handy piece of kit, i work as a handyman and im not a plumber but i come across many different types of ceramic disc valve types that need changing, many have had handles forced onto the splines but with this piece of kit i can identify the spline count before removing the valve and order a replacement or check stock before removing and going to a merchants. Saving me time and money.

Worth getting one only if you do a lot of older taps

Impressed with prompt delivery which was very quick, nice size complete with wallet to keep it in. Glad I got it as diameter I believed was correct, after using gauge, found that it wasn't. when fitting gauge over some splines some play/movement noticed but could be down to cartridge, as some are not as well made as they used to be. A handy little tool nonetheless.

This is a great products trusted widely. It does what its supposed to do.

I sent the gauge unopenef, As it was no longer needed. I need to replace the whole tap. Tap Magician were able to inform me that I did have the correct valves, but it didn't resolve my issue. Matt was very helpful.

Arrived with spline teeth missing or partially missing, totally useless, if I could give no stars I would, although did get a full refund
