Perfect
After years of North Face winter jackets this blows them all out of the water in the quality department. This thing is WARM. Its a little bit of a snugger fit so i can see why some people size up, however i ordered my normal size and it hasn't had any effect my range of motion. Its comfortable and has a good assortment of pockets. Performs great in the wind. I would definitely buy it again

Major bang for your buck
This is a top rated mid-priced ski jacket that’s now an older model, so available for a great price. Excellent warmth and ski features, mobility, lighter weight, great fit.

Absorbs water
Bought an Alpha 4.0 end of February was excited for upcoming ski trip. First couple days of skiing, noticed moisture on phone that I kept in upper left outer pocket. Third day we had heavy snow and I noticed the fabric absorbing water along the pocket zipper and the bottom half of the jacket. I was expecting this premium jacket to have premium performance but it didn’t. Yes, Helly Hansen has issued a credit but not sure I trust their products at this point.

Fantasitc jacket
The fit of this jacket is perfect. I'm 6', 225lbs, and have big shoulders. Finding an athletic-cut jacket can be a challenger; Arc'Teryx is another that fits me well. The stretch material is excellent while being supple. All of the little details sets this one apart: gussets on the wrists, big pocket for goggles, an external phone pocket that is better insulated to keep the battery warmer (nice), and the pocket for your ski pass exactly where it should be...on the left arm (because the left side is where the scanners almost always are located).I used to where shells with multiple layers, but this is a better solution. This coat has just the right amount of insulation to keep you warm without needing a lot of unnecessary layers.The color is more lime and yellow than fluorescent yellow shown in the image.
