Great storage box.
Well designed and once built sturdy.. after a months use... its waterproof and holds a cushions for a 5 seater corner patio set... its a little tricky to put together.. read the instructions and made sure you've the piece the right way.. I had to take down and rebuild twice as I had the lid the wrong way.. having written. That it was easy to put together and really well made.. worth the investment if you want to store cushions etc.. it has a solid base and so far no slugs have managed to get in.. we'll worth the money

Really well conceived.
We have long had a need to organise our garden, and bought one of the Lifetime large sheds to use as a garden store for tools, chemicals etc. We realised that it was sufficiently weatherproof to be able to store electrical equipment out there (pressure washer, etc) and even freed up space in our utility room! Encouraged by this we also bought the Lifetime 60089 storage box (439 litre) to allow us to store some summer stuff that we'd rather not have to store indoors over winter. This includes some electricals (solar lights) some plastics (artificial plants, spare covers and weatherproof covers for outdoor furniture (that comes out over winter), and also fabrics, swing seat cushions etc that come in over winter. The fabrics did fine over winter, although they have to be dry before they go in there, as does anything else you put into the box. I checked once or twice, briefly, over winter, and everything was dry and cool, and the fabrics were in great shape, so the weatherproofing works. The design is really well conceived, with all the components, roof, walls, base, all made to shuck off water to the outside of the structure and not allow it in anywhere, the overhanging lid puts water down onto the walls, and the walls fit just outside of a small raised lip that forces the water away. It would need to be standing in about 3 inches of standing water before I'd start to worry. From the overwinter storage of fabrics, I get the impression that even condensation outside (misty winter mornings or humid days) doesn't get inside. Provided you follow the assembly instructions diligently and tighten up the components properly, you're in business. The instructions are rather the same as for the upright shed we had bought earlier. A few Ikea-like pictograms and numbering systems for the packets of components. Fortunately there are fewer of them for this storage box! This keeps its lid open using a hydraulic strut, and that was the more tricky element of setup, but even then it was not that hard to do. It's a useful size for our needs and, situated close to a garden seat, it doubles up as a table for bits and pieces should we decide to eat out there. If you had an outdoors party, you could pretty much dress it up with a decent covering and it would double as drinks/plates/food table. It is well made, versatile, closes easily, and can be padlocked (with a small padlock, admittedly, as there is limited space for a lock because the closure sits in a little niche below the folded-down lid). All in all, it's a great and useful product, because it's well thought-out and is made from weatherproof and solid components.

Sturdy and Quite Easy To Assemble
Nice sturdy outside storage bunker. Quite easy to assembly IF you have all the right tools which, as is usually the case, I didn't. Took me about an hour on my own (doesn't need two people if you have half a clue what you're doing), plus another 20 minutes wasted looking for the right tools during the job which - as already stated - I ended up not having. It IS doable with adjustable wrenches, but a spanner set and/or a socket set will be the ideal mix. Also a power drill/driver. Only 4 stars because a) is anything ever really a full 5 stars? and b) the accessibility of a couple of the bolts could have been better if I'm being picky. It's got a nice solid lid, and a solid plastic floor, not one of the flimsy thin ones you often get in these sort of things. The padlock hasp is OK. Up to about an 8mm padlock shackle should be fine, nothing larger though. The hydraulic struts to slow open/close are a nice touch. Not sure on their longevity yet, or possibility of replacements but we'll see. Definitely happy with the purchase so far.

Great Product
Firstly I should say this is the second identical large storage box purchased. The quality is extremely good and there is no comparison to the other very common manufacturer available in the UK/Europe. This is American made and sturdy. It can be used as a bench seat (assuming you are not like some of our larger American friends that is ) I am 15+ stone and it supports me easily. Some reviews mention that they needed to drill out the metal components as the bolts/screws were too tight. If they read the instructions it clearly states the holes are slightly undersized to ensure a firm fixture. Secondly, there are reviews that also state that it had arrived broken with damaged corners. This of course might be a genuine case. However, as it is very well packaged in the first place and the plastic is not brittle my suspicions are that, as the assembly can be tight with the various tabs that slot together, people have attempted to 'ease' the assembly with a ball pein metal hammer perhaps and damaged the new storage box (just a theory) and then blamed the delivery driver or packaging. Use a heavy rubber mallet and a block of wood. There is no doubt that the assembly is not the easiest to do - but not exactly difficult if you have the skills , a few DIY type tools including a battery drill/driver, spanners or better still a small socket set and have read the manual (RTFM, as we say) Perhaps the manufacturer or distributor should state that a knowledge of DIY along with a few tools is required. (It certainly does not assemble with nothing more than an Allen key and no assembly tools are supplied) If you are a Gary or a Gladys and the extent of making something doesn't extend beyond a Victoria sponge then you may struggle. It doesn't make it a bad product though. To recap: It is a very sturdy, dry, large and well made patio storage box. I have bought two of the larger ones and would consider buying another as I can tell they are going to last for years.

Great storage for my cushions.
Perfect for all my cushions, easy to put together, it says not waterproof but none of my cushions got wet in rain, box was very dry, stores 6 stool cushions and my ratan furniture cushions which comprise of 4 backs and 4 seats, so fits all in perfect, I could put more in if had them, looks smart in my garden too.

Prepare for some DIY action
Decent enough once built. The installation isn't particularly well thought through. None of the holes are predrilled, you're scewing self tapping screws into plastic. Some alignment issues, so not ideal. Luckily I have a 90 degree drill, or it would have been a major pain to put together. Clearance for normal drills, had not been thought about. If you just used a screw driver and didn't predrill, you'd be there all day. Plus, you'll need spanners and a wrench set for the bolts. But, seems sturdy enough once built. Not a fan of scewing into plastic, it's a weak point, so dunno how long it'll last.

Big Nope
Instructions are awful, basically useless. Doesn’t come with any of the required tools, and the tools it requires are not at all common. There’s no premade holes, it doesn’t line up, and all in all: terrible. We bought this thinking it’d be a fairly simple snap-into-place container. My spouse and I have put together countless pieces of furniture, so we understand what it SHOULD be. Would not recommend to anyone who values their time and money.
