Masters of British Literature, Volume A

Love this book. It came in brand new condition for a great price. A lot of history on the authors and what was happening during the time they wrote their pieces. You really get a wide range with this book and can explore the literature of the time. I am about half way through and plan to continue to read even though I am mo longer in the class I needed it for.

Has some great content in it. Using it for school, I haven't had a chance to read through all of it yet, but what I have read is good.

I very much enjoyed the literature, although it helped to read with a class providing context for some of the works. My copy arrived with a bend along the cover that caused a permanent white scar- I don't particularly mind, but that did decrease the aesthetic appeal and resale value.

I ordered this text book for my college English class and it was completely unnecessary! I did not use it at all! ALL THE POEMS CAN BE FOUND ONLINE!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! Do not buy

My favorite textbook so far and the one of the few that I kept that was not related to my major.

It's a textbook. There are many stories in it, so it's not exactly like I can pin-point the mood or plot. Not sure why Amazon would ask. There are a few discussion sections in the book but it is pretty heavy stuff to wade through. Bought it for a class, but probably would have been happier buying the individual stories and poems. I'd have kept those around.
