Excellent seat for a bowl with inner rim dimensions 11" x 13.5"
Fits my toilet perfectly and solidly. As the ad states, this is a 4" riser, but the ad also states incorrectly that it is a 5.1 cm riser. 4" equals 10 cm, and this information is given correctly on the box.The lid is very thin and light but that's good, not bad, as far as I'm concerned. Most of the reported problems are when the seat does not fit. The INSIDE dimensions of my toilet boil are 11.0" left to right and 13.5" front to back. Some sellers say this seat is for "round" toilet bowls but NO toilet bowls are round. ALL toilet bowls are elongated. The version that's sold for "elongated" toilets would not, I'm sure, fit my toilet, even though my toilet is 2.5" longer front to back than it is left to right. A more proper description is that this seat is for toilets with a standard elongation and the seats for elongated toilets are for toilets with a more pronounced elongation.I had no problem installing the seat in less than a minute. Removing the old seat took about 3 minutes. The plastic clamps work extremely well on my toilet and the seat does not slide or rock at all.It appears that I could have left the existing seat and lid on, (in raised position.. it would not be possible to lower them with this AquaSense seat in place). However, I needed to replace my existing seat anyway since it was cracked, and this does the job perfectly, raising the seat by 4". I'm tall, but the 4" rise would not be a problem, I'm guessing, even for someone 5' tall unless the toilet was tall to begin with. With this raised seat installed, the seat is now 18" above the floor in my bathroom. That's the same height as the seat of a standard dining room chair.

A must for anyone needing help getting up
Best thing; it has a lid. After wasting money buying 3 riser seats(non-returnable and as many seat & lid combos(also non-returnable) I found this was the only raised seat that worked, is comfortable and easy to pop off and clean. There was a problem with getting it to stay clamped to the toilet side but a bit of rubberish shelf liner fixed that for me.I don't know how the people who said a regular seat could be attached to the others because the bolts don't fit any of them.

very Painful to use!
Painful! Very hard plastic with ridges, corners, and edges that dig into my flesh. After 30 seconds my blood circulation was being cut off, and my sciatic nerves on both legs began aching, and I began developing numb spots on my legs and feet, but I couldn't get up until I was finished - it was a nightmare!I tried to return it as soon as I took it out of the box because I could see it was not as described in the picture on the ad, but because it is a toilet seat it cannot be returned, so I tried to use it anyway. I feel like it could cause me permanent damage if I had to use it regularly.

A good riser, though having preferred the more-molded style.
After trying a few risers in recent years (having an Osteoarthritic knee), I was wanting to replace one I had liked by another seller, but had a weak “lid attachment” to, having easily broken off. After ordering this one, I found the seat is a FLATTER design, instead of the “molded” model, yet the marketing photos for this version have it APPEAR to be the prior style, which it is not. (This is not the first time I experienced this, getting once from elsewhere and having returned immediately, since the box and site photos depict the more sculptured seat version of, shown in my comparison photos). I don’t know if others are aware of.Not having enough “padding” on myself, it is a harder, flatter surface for me, liking the more “curved” model. Also, a mistake I made is having had the last one be a 6” height increase, this one is 4” high, so I feel the difference. However, my being in need of and not finding an option, I am having to adapt to this “flatter” seat. I am motivated to do so, since it also has a slightly better LID attachment connector - still to be careful to not put weight upon closed lid. (Having a cat, whom had been jumping upon my previous riser lid).ALL THAT being said, THIS style of riser with lid to me has been the easiest to attach and maintain, and will continue to use. * Those having trouble with it remaining stable, I had found the knobs need to be screwed in opposite directions (right knob - back, and left knob, forward, while testing for a secure fit). This is a better option than having to deal with removing bolts and adding a riser with no lid.

Fits my old fashioned round toidy
We just bought a house that was built in the 60's. I had planned on putting in a new toilet in my bathroom since the one here is a smaller type, round seat and closer to the ground. I'm in my 60's and tallish, so really prefer a toilet that's at least chair height. Unfortunately, the bolts on the floor for this toilet are over an inch closer to the wall than new toilets require, so a new toilet is out of the question unless I want to spend a fortune having someone else install it and fix the bolt issue. Actually, it's your old flush type toilet, you know, the kind we all used before the water saver toilets that end up requiring 2 or 3 flushes each time you use it!! Love the old toilets that you only need to flush once and your good to go. So, I'm actually kind of glad I can't replace this toilet.I bought this seat hoping to create my own taller toidy. It fits great, was very easy to install and I really like that it has a toilet lid. If it wasn't for the bolts on the side, I don't think anyone would ever even realize it wasn't part of the original toilet. I'm not really sure anyone even notices them, though. My son was here last weekend and never mentioned it. I thought for sure he'd get a good laugh out of it, but he didn't say anything, so I really don't think he realized it was a topper! It's easy to clean, stays put and really has made my bathroom experience much more comfy..

A bit uncomfortable for us
This is a useful toilet riser for people who need the extra height. It's well made and was fairly easy to install, and it does bring the toilet seat up to a point where a person is sitting at a reasonable angle. Previously we had a 4" riser which held us too high off the floor, and I hoped this 2" riser would work better. In most ways it does, but each of us found the product a bit uncomfortable. For me the height is just right but the hard plastic back is curved wrong so I can't lean back, and my husband finds that his bottom goes numb very quickly. We're keeping it because on balance the 2" additional height is what we need, but we both wish the design had worked better for us.

Stays in place well!
This has worked very well for us! I and my parents need a raised seat but the ones we were using didn’t have a lid. As soon as my son started walking we knew we had to do something different for child proofing. I weigh 230 and have some issues controlling the muscles to lower myself to sit so sometimes I sit down too hard on surfaces. This feels very sturdy and doesn’t slide around.

A decent seat at a decent ($31) price.
I bought this to help me with my total knee replacement surgery. I'm about 250 lbs and read the reviews about being unstable or low quality. Maybe the lot mine came from was after some updates had been done. It's easy to install (you must uninstall your existing toilet seat cover, and when you tighten the new one in, don't try to be a Hulk and over tighten. I'm only 4 days in to using it, but it's solid, doesn't wiggle around and raises me to a decent height.Since it's raised, it is a little more difficult to clean the toilet, not by much, and men can't just lift a lower lid when they pee (there is no lower lid) but it works excellent for the person who it was intended for.. someone with a recent knee or hip surgery that needs a raised seat temporarily.I would recommend at this time.
