This square is excellent for building and layout. I bought it for metalworking, but it would be great for woodworking or any craft or construction projects. I like that it is 2 sided, so you can mark a line on 2 sides without re positioning. I use mine for plasma cutting angle iron, and the 2 sided construction works great for that.

Great product. The holes for scribing are a bit small. You will need a fine tip marker to use this feature. Suggestion for assembly: put the bottom rail in and start the screws. Rest one end of the rail assembly against a straight edge (or similar) before tightening the screws. If you do not do this the your markings can be off as much as a 32nd. That doesn't sound like much, but it could save you time in planing or throwing out product because you cut it too short and the finished product has weird gaps. You want both assembled pieces to meet perfectly flat on the edges.

This is a very quick easy and useful tool. It’s small and simple to use. I highly recommend this tool for woodworking projects.
