Great product
I have used this winch 6 times since buying it. I have used it to pull golf carts in trucks & trailers. That being said it had no problems because the carts were able to roll. Works great. Since it doesn't have provisions to keep the cable straight, I'm glad I bought the synthetic rope and not metal cable. Very handy to have

Good quality tool, works easily with 20v drill
I bought this to haul up sheets of 3/4" plywood on a roof I'm building, it's working great, plenty of length on the rope, works easily with my 20v drill. The shaft you connect your drill to is hex shaped, so you don't have to worry about it slipping. It came with two sets of straps that have metal buckles on them for connecting the winch to whatever you're pulling. Seems tough enough, I've never used a winch with the poly rope before but I like it. I'd say it's a great value for the money.

Workhorse gizmo
This item has been a real help to my husband with the ramps on his equipment trailer. The ramps are heavy & awkward to load & unload his wheel loader or excavator. This little gizmo is quite the workhorse and makes quick work of that task. He has large hooks that we got from Amazon. connected to a cable then a battery powered drill lifts or drops the ramps appropriately. Save the husband!!

Skids oak trees
I use it to skid trees. My property is thickly wooded, mostly with oak trees. Some more than 20" across. For those that haven't dealt with oak, they're way heavier than they look. I use this winch and chain to skid trees when pulling with the old Ford Ranger won't do. I've hauled whole trees through some really thick and gnarly terrain with this winch. It punches way above its price. The synthetic rope is easier to handle than steel cable. No nasty metal frayed cable eating up your hands. Much lighter, too. As for down sides, it's slow. You'll want a fast drill and big battery. Any good drill will do, but something that runs above 2000 rpm and has a low and high mode works best. I started with a 1400 rpm drill. Switching up to 2100 rpm was a huge improvement! I wish the clutch pull used a large T handle instead of the smallish round button so it's easier to manipulate with gloves on. I also wish the line length was longer; 50 feet would be great; 100 feet would be amazing! But I've made the 40 ft work for me. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The little winch that can!!
This little guy has blown me away. I live on an 8 acres lake and had a number of tree clearing projects. I had been using an electric plug in winch and a truck with snatch blocks and tree rigging ropes to move large amounts of material. But many areas i can access either power or the truck. A 20 volt drill and this little winch have been very easy to carry into areas. It has performed at high speeds too. (Maybe it will eventually burn up?)

Does the not job.
It does the job as described, but surprisingly, the instructions tell you not to use it for lifting. What are the 4 points for it? The website needs to be corrected, and it mentions lifting as well. Couple month later of use winch quit to work after 15 times in use. In other words, good for the trash.
