The batteries, judging from the replacement items are around 90 VAh, so for a 15, 20? W router I would budget for at least 4 hours.

Hi, Is it only the protection role the item provides to the equipments? Does it redress the current flow in pure sine wave form?

IT keeps my QNAP NAS box running for a pre-defined period. I set the USB UPS mode on my NAS box to initiate a shut down if power was not resumed within 1 minute to protect against data loss (in cache memory etc)

The APCUPSD daemon will monitor this device over a USB connection. You will want to run this service 24/7 on the host Linux OS in order to be able to shutdown your computer cleanly if the battery becomes very low. There is a bit of configuration to be done but it's well documented. I've been running other APC models (Smart UPS which provide more information to APCUPSD) but this one is supported.

Can this item be used on my 2014 imac please? i read on some of the answers on here that this device is not good for newer imacs
