Does this work with external drives? Picture shows external hard drives but the description says not to use external hard drives...

It works with usb 3.0 drives without a problem for me. It does have some issues with older usb 2.0 drives at times (but not always). I have this attached to my gaming laptop, which is windows based and not a Mac, so I can’t speak for performance with a Mac computer.

Hello, will this work on a recently released 2021 16-inch macbook pro apple m1 pro with 10-core cpu, 16-core gpu, 16-core neural engine? thank you!

HI Davide, I have a 16" M1 with similar specs and it works with the Mac. I still haven't tested multiple drives, however

Will this work for 2019 macbook pros? the ports are the same as 2018 models ( four thunderbolt 3 (usb-c)? i assume so; just want to verify.

Yes, this hub will work for 2019 MacBook pros.

How long is the cable?

The cable is about 14" long. The whole device is about 19" long
