Description

  • LOGGER SENSOR - For measuring light intensity and illumination low, medium, and high light intensity environments for multiple readings
  • MULTIPURPOSE MONITORING - Daily light levels in ecological systems, chemical reactions that emit light, light intensity from varying distances and mediums, and photosynthesis for further study
  • THREE ILLUMINATION AND SIGNAL OPERATION MODES - Illumination: 0 to 1,000 lx, 12 bit, 1 lx, 100 Illumination: 0 to 6,000 lx, 12 bit, 6 lx, 100 Illumination: 0 to 150,000 lx, 12 bit, 150 lx, 100 Signal: 0 to 1,000 lx, 12 bit, 1 lx, 3000 Signal: 0 to 6,000 lx, 12 bit, 6 lx, 3000 Signal: 0 to 150,000 lx, 12 bit, 150 lx, 3000
  • REQUIRED ACCESSORIES - To use sensors you will need either: a USB Module (USB 200) to connect via USB cable to PC or Mac, or a Wi-Fi Module (WIFI201) and battery (BAT200) to connect to any Wi-Fi enabled device (Smart Phone, Tablet, Computer)
  • LONG EXPERIMENT DURATION - 50.0 milliseconds to 31.0 days for versatile use, with 16.0-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) resolution for reading range of values

This sensor is very versatile with applications in many areas of the natural sciences. It can be used to study photosynthesis in Biology, to study light-emitting chemical reactions in Chemistry, to study the effect of changing voltage on a light-bulb's output in Physics and more. With three ranges, it can be used in low light environments such as in a classroom or high light environments as in daylight outdoors. It measures Illumination. With both fast and slow modes, it can be used to measure fast light changes such as those produced by light bulbs connected to an AC supply, as well as the near steady levels outside on a sunny day. The light sensor in located in a plastic box just behind an access hole. Operation Modes: Range | ADC Resolution | Resolution | Max Sample Rate (S/sec): Illumination: 0 to 1,000 lx, 12 bit, 1 lx, 100 Illumination: 0 to 6,000 lx, 12 bit, 6 lx, 100 Illumination: 0 to 150,000 lx, 12 bit, 150 lx, 100 Signal: 0 to 1,000 lx, 12 bit, 1 lx, 3000 Signal: 0 to 6,000 lx, 12 bit, 6 lx, 3000 Signal: 0 to 150,000 lx, 12 bit, 150 lx, 3000
