Bought this AirVidox product to try and rid car of lingering ciggy smoke smell from previous owner. After trying over many months various brands of the aerosol tins of Air Con Sanitiser' bombs' that simply did not work I came across the AirVidox website and watched the product video. Firstly I would strongly advise visiting AirVidox Website For Product Updates and Also watch the How To Videos of Both Using this Product And Cleaning And Preparing Your Vehicles Interior. The product is actually 2 seperate plastic screw lid containers of chemicals in powder form Named Part A and Part B. BE WARNED - When You Add Part A to Part B and mixed with warm water, close the lid and gently shake for 30 seconds, The "Product Does Emit A Gas" DO NOT BREATHE GAS If possible prior to using/ treating you car with AirVidox have your vehicle either professionaly valeted or do it yourself. Pay particular attention to the vehicles interior floors, ashtrays, carpets, seat upholstery and crucially the roof lining of the car as this is where the ciggy smell can stay trapped. It is very important to do this or you will find after using this product the smell might persist. Trust me over the months I have tried numerous products, interior air fresheners, shampoos, hanging air scent trees etc without any luck od ridding my car with the ugly stench of stale ciggy smoke. I am a Non Smoker but was desperate to try and rid car of this stale smell Would strongly advise to allow this product to get into every nook and cranny of car interior, by removing all rubber floor mats, seat covers, personal items from the car as when this product is activated it does give off a VERY STRONG Chlorene Smell which will linger for a few days or even up to a couple of weeks later. Once chlorine smell has evaporated you can simply then add a new air car smell freshner of your choice if you so wish. Prior to using this product I had my car professionally Valeted. I Followed instructions to the letter and mixed both powders as advised, added cold water, re placed on the screw lid gently shake for 30 seconds gel is then activated, quickly remove lid and place activated gel container on a piece of cardboard to allow for any spill as the powders when mixed with water become a gel like substance and can bubble up over the course of 8 hours. ""I left the product for a Full 8 hours"" After 8 Hours Remember To Turn On Your Vehicle Air Con To Recycle Mode For Further 30 Minutes To Allow product to Work on Smells Through the vehicle Air Circulation Syytem as advised on product instructions supplied by airVidox. Then Open ALL Vehicle Doors And VENT For 30 Minutes. Remove product and simply wash out remaing product over drain with cold water Website Says Only 4 Hours But Instructions State 8 Hours After I used this product I did smell a very slight trace of ciggy smell, so contacted AirVidox who have been brilliant and advised another option and smell has now gone. I may purchase this product again in a few months time if smell returns. Be Advised You will need at least 8 to 10 Hours spare Before Using the Air Vidox product. A brilliant product if used correctly. Any doubts then contact AirVidox as they are always updating products. I brough a new car six months ago, I noticed slight smoke smell when test driving but after few weeks got stronger. Got nothing from the seller to sort it, valet companies could not promise to remove the smell so choose this option after giving the car a good clean inside made little difference. It is straight forward to do, just a little confusion on wether to leave the fan on for the last half hour in the car. I left all doors and boot open for a couple of hours afterwards. Strong smell of Chlorine for first few days, not terrible, like the swimming baths. After a week it was faint, then after another week it was fine. The smoke smell has been fine for about six months now and no re occcurance so far so happy with this product

This is the BEST deodorising product available. This works using a scientific approach rather than trying to cover up smells. I bought a vehicle and the previous owner was a smoker and had also let a cigarette burn out in the door compartment. The chemical reaction is incredibly strong and the smell is very overpowering to start with. You MUST air out the car as long as possible but once the chemical smell dissipates there is ZERO odour. Then you can buy whatever car fresheners you like. The gas from the chemical reaction goes into all the gaps, vents and fabric disinfecting it and deodorising it. This is the ONLY product that works. Just buy it and make sure you follow the instructions.

This worked to remove the smell of cigarette smoke in a car that I'd bought, which the garage had masked by strong air fresheners. After trying everything from good old soapy water, lemon juice and sodium bicarbonate, a steam cleaner on the fabric and other sprays - even shake n vac, I was kind of at a loss as to what to do. This worked a treat, although it did leave the car with a different scent, something more akin to a cleaner's cupboard! Much better than cigarette smoke though! I was definitely sceptical so was surprised at the outcome. And long term it has been great. I used this about 5 months ago and there is no sign of the smell returning. It was dead simple to use too.

Previous car owner had a dog. Having valeted the car and washed the seats I tried this product as a last resort. Unfortunately I can still smell the dog :( no improvement at all. Also some white marks on the vinyl door which I presume will just wipe off. I guess this product has killed a few germs but not the smell. Update: A few months on, the white chemical stains are still evident and impossible to get rid of. Basically ruined the black plastic dash/door parts of the vehicle. Just had the car professionally valeted again and stains impossible to remove. I do not recommend.

Bought to get rid of smoke smell in a car. Being a non smoker, the smell in the car of smoke was quite strong. I thought initially the price of the product was a bit steep but thought I’d give it a go rather than keep buying in car air freshener. Instructions are clear and so easy to use. Followed the instructions and left in the car overnight. The smell , like chlorine, was quite strong initially but, the smoke smell had gone completely. The chlorine smell did go completely after about a week and still the smoke smell gone. Would definitely recommend this product. Just be careful when you have shaken product and then release in car. The lid popped open and the smell choked me momentarily. Otherwise did the job for me.

Works well.... Easy to use.

Car is 10 years old and smells a bit old and smokey. This has cleared all old smells leaving a faint smell of bleach. I recommend doing it when you know there is dry weather for a few days so you can air the car out after. Also note the timings, do it late at night then open car up for all of next day. Also leave the air setting on recirculation and full speed so can just start it in the morning without getting in.
