This has been a freaking life-saver in the heatwave - I've been keeping it in the freezer overnight (when it's bearable), then when I've finished work I plonk a towel over it and lie down. When I'm on this, I barely feel the heat anymore, and my core temp also goes down (I check it to make sure I haven't got you-know-what as well as regular testing. Yesterday it went up to 37.96, but after lying down on the mat and cooling down, it went down and stayed down!) There's a good amount of gel too, which is great for pressure points and making sure the pad stays cold for longer. I've got some gel pillow pads but they're like sheets of thin, flat marble & are uncomfortable no matter what I do. This is just awesome and I'm so happy I spent extra on the biggest one! Yes, my backside is kinda numb right now but that's totally my fault. I'm gonna shuffle around a little since I know this will stay cold for a good two hours yet, despite being in the attic with a temp of 29° outside. I do get night sweats and sciatica, and I can tell this is gonna be super helpful there too; I think this is going to be my bedroom companion for a while! If you want a good quality, decent size gel mat, this is a great one to go with, honestly.

I suffer sciatica that affects my whole left side and occasionally my entire lower back and the smaller gel packs just weren't enough and I can keep moving them. this is amazing, it can cover the whole area without me needing to keep moving it around. It's got a fair weight to it which some people might find too much if frail, petite, young or their pain doesn't allow for it but it's not horrendous to lay on. It's not a pillow so it's not going to be super comfy but it doesn't feel hard or abrasive. Stayed cold for about 4 hours on the first use wrapped in a pillow case but on the second use I double wrapped it which extended it's cold time to almost 6 hours (I was it like a cold hot water bottle during the heatwave) Freezes quick. I received it quite late in the evening so it only had about 2 hours in the freezer but was pretty solid when I took it out. A definite investment for pain relief (and heatwaves)

Brilliant size and holds the cold well. Ease of use? Used for my hamstring and it was comfortable to place under my leg and great for the pain relief. Easy to fold in half. Easy to freeze and doesn’t take too long. The stitching is of good quality. Stability? Only thing i note is the material is a bit more rigid than others i’ve had and I’m noticing wear in places from when it is folded although i would imagine it will likely last the life of the product without leak. Its size although great and perfect for my needs is too big to fit in British upright freezers workout folding.

I purchased this product to help with neck and back pain after a car accident because the physiotherapy appointments I had been going to were not working. After the first treatment with this cold pack my symptoms immediately improved slightly, and over the next couple of days using this product twice a day my symptoms continued to improve. I have already recommended this product to friends and family and have no problem with saying this is an excellent product that works well for back and neck pain. As well as using this product for pain I have also found a new use for this product too... when it's a very hot day this product is great for cooling down the body and the bed in preparation for a better nights sleep! The only way I would improve this product is by making it about 4-5 inches longer so you can cool the neck and all of the back at the same time, and I'd put more cooling gel inside so that it lasts for longer than 20 minutes. But that being said, this is the best product on the market that I found after an hour of searching so it scores 5 out of 5 in every category from me. Hope this review helps somebody make the best choice :)

I suffer from DDD, and consequently take a lot of medication, this provides a significant benefit and allows me to actually sleep at night, whereas, even with medication, I struggled before that. The size of it was impressive, covering a large portion of my back. It freezes well and still maintains enough flexibility once frozen to shape to your back. I especially like the crush-velvet-like side of it, that allows the cold to come through, without actually burning your back. Would highly recommend this product if you have back issues.

Really easy to store. Maintains coldness. But seal broke after a month so the cooling gel leaks and has cause the duration of coldness to decrease due to the amount of gel that has seeped out over time. Would recommend trying to find a better manufactured brand.

The product is easily to fold and pop in the fridge. I'm currently a few weeks after a full hip replacement and to say it makes a difference is an understatement, I can immediately tell if I've forgotten to use it that day just by the amount of swelling it reduces. I'd bought a smaller one but this one is ideal for the hip region (the smaller one for knees/ankles I'd say). I'm glad I invested in a more rebust item even though it's a little more expensive than some of it's competitors. Highly worth the buy.

I’d bought a few of the smaller gel packs and found them to be amazing products, so had no hesitation in trying this extra large pack when the need arose. My partner runs marathons. She came home a couple of days before her last run, complaining of a twinge in her back. It got progressively worse until after the run, she was in agony. Her entire back hurt. So I popped this in the freezer as directed and placed it on my partner’s back. Little more than half an hour later, she was feeling much, much better. Even the original sore point had improved. Just wipe it down after use and it’s ready to go again next time. This is a quality product that I’d recommend to anyone. I’m giving it five stars because it’s easy to use, clean and is effective at quelling pain.

Poche en gel de grande taille de bonne qualité. Achetée pour se rafraîchir en temps de canicule. En posant la poche sur l'oreiller, ça refroidit la tête et ça aide à faire baisser la température corporelle, en tout cas c'est la sensation ressentie. Devenue indispensable lorsqu'il fait plus de 25°C dans la chambre. Le revêtement tout doux isole bien le contact avec la peau (je n'ai plus un poil sur le caillou donc c'est sensible), ça ne donne pas de sensations de brûlure. À voir si cela fonctionne aussi bien avec l'utilisation en la faisant chauffer.

Ever since I hit perimenopause, I’ve kept cold gel packs in the freezer. The problem is that they’d always get warm too fast. This ice pack is large enough to cover anyone’s back, and it stays cold for a long, long time. I recommend wrapping it in a towel, in fact, so that you don’t get too cold! Its effectiveness blows my mind. The material is flexible. You can fold it so that it fits in your freezer and then either keep it folded or unfold it to use. The material is comfortable, and so far, it hasn’t absorbed any odors from the freezer.

Producto fantastico. Con un tamaño grande, que era lo que yo buscaba. Tenía otro mas pequeño, y con una funda transparente de plástico. Este es mucho mejor. Tiene una cara revestida con un material más suave, como de terciopelo. Yo lo gengo permanentemente en el colgelador y lo saco cuando lo necesito. Sólo se puede usar en frío. Lo dice vien claro en la web y también en las instrucciones. Al sacarlo del congelador está bastante “tieso”, como es normal, pero enseguida se vuelve más blando y cómodo. Sin duda una gran compra. A la hora de aplicarlo no lo uso directamente sobre la piel, sino que uso una toalla pequeña evitando así el contacto directo. Lo recomiendo de todas todas
