Crochet Kaleidoscope: Shifting Shapes and Shades Across 100 Motifs

EXACTLY as I had hoped. Jumps right in to motif designs except for a couple of pages of color theory. TONS of designs and gorgeously put together with glossy, high quality paper. Large pictures of each motif with easy to follow patterns. As a somewhat beginner it has enough to challenge me for many months to come with some simpler designs but also some extravagant designs. A must have!

There are so many beautiful granny squares in this book. And the colors that have been put together are some I would have never thought of and look wonderful. I have a lot of crochet books but this has become my favorite. Easy to read, clear instructions and those eye catching colors giving you ideas for lots of projects.

This is a lovely book of motifs with optional colorways and a few completed projects provided. I have at least a dozen patterns flagged for various future afghans. It is clear that each pattern was carefully thought-through and drafted. Congratulations and thank you!

While I love the array of beautiful patterns included in this book, I'm bothered by the typos that keep coming up. Some patterns mentions ch-2 sps when there isn't one, and some written patterns do not match the diagrams. (see photo)

Excellent book

It really is very useful for understanding color better. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would buy it again if I had to do over. Worth the buy!!!! Happy hooking 💕

Out of several books of crochet motifs on my shelf, this is the one I go back to again and again.

Love this book….the only improvement would be a section which gave examples to join motifs together, particularly round ones.

Livre reçu dans les temps. Très bon état. Livre très bien fait. Les diagrammes sont clairs et interposition de couleur pour les changements de rang. Je pense compléter avec d'autres.

Was ich sehr gut finde an diesem Buch, sind die vielen unglaublich schönen und interessanten Motive, die sich zum Teil deutlich von dem abheben, was ich bereits an Häkelmotivanleitungen besitze, und das ist inzwischen recht viel. Zu jedem Motiv gibt es Text und Häkelschrift, was für mich ein Wohlfühlmuss ist, da sich immer auch bei allergrößter Sorgfalt mal ein Fehler einschleichen kann in Text oder Bild und da ist es einfach gut, wenn man dann die andere Option hat als "Backup" sozusagen. Allerdings kann ich jetzt noch nichts genaueres dazu sagen, da ich noch nichts nachgearbeitet habe. Die Häkelschriften, die ich mir genauer angeschaut habe, sehen richtig aus. Auch sind diese nicht zu klein, sondern meistens so, dass alles Wichtige leicht erkennbar ist. Die Motive sind nach Form geordnet. Es gibt kreisförmige, quadratische, sechseckige dreieckige und weitere Formen. Es gibt zu jedem Motiv noch Tipps, die oft auch Vorschläge enthalten, wie man die Farbe variieren kann. Es gibt einfache Motive, mittelschwere und anspruchsvollere Motive (was aber nicht entsprechen gekennzeichnet ist). Am Anfang des Buches bekommt der Leser einige Tipps zum Aussuchen von Farben in die Hand, was ich auch liebe, weil ich mit dem Farben auswählen tatsächlich Probleme habe und da ist es gut, diese Tipps als Richtlinie zur Hand zu haben, wenn man gerade frustriert ist mit der eigenen Auswahl oder Lust hat, zu experimentieren. Zum Schluss gibt es noch ein paar wirklich hübsche Projekte, die nicht zu schwer sind. Fazit: Ein mit sehr viel Liebe und Sachkenntnis gemachtes Buch. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Der Händler (superbookdeals) ist auch zuverlässig und mein Buch ist in einem absolut einwandfreien Zustand bei mir angekommen. Es dauert aber ein wenig, da es aus dem Ausland verschickt wird.
