Easy Battery Replacement — Restored UPS Performance Like New
My APC UPS-900 surge protector and battery backup has worked reliably for about 5 years, which is right in line with the typical 3–5 year battery life expectancy for units like this. It has kept my PC, modem, and router running through short outages, and also provides protection for sensitive electronics during surges. In longer outages, it has even powered a cordless phone and VOIP system for overnight operation.Recently, I noticed the backup time had dropped significantly—down to only a few minutes—indicating the battery was at end of life. I was initially unsure about replacing the battery myself, but the process turned out to be very straightforward. After installation, the unit is operating like new again. For a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire UPS, this was a very cost-effective repair. Given how simple the swap was and how well it restored performance, I would absolutely recommend replacing the battery rather than replacing the whole unit if you encounter similar symptoms.

Direct fit for CyberPower 1500 - easy swap. Save over buying a new UPS.
So far so good. Just installed (took less than 5 mins) and 4 screws later my UPS is back up and running showing a full charge. No more error messages on my CyberPower 1500. Direct replacement, shipped quickly and came charged at 95% when powered up. Can't speak to any longevity since I just installed it but my last battery set lasted for about 5 years so we'll see. At this price point if I get 12-18 mos out of it, it would be worth it. Because its lead acid and is not constantly charging and discharging, it should hold up for a while.

Seems to work OK and lasts (that's all i can ask from a battery)
It's been in my UPS for about a year without trouble. So far, so good. I've read some people complaining about the connectors being too small, but i didn't have any problems making my connections (of course, you have to make sure you don't attach your cable connectors upside-down).
