I've tried at least 5 or 6 different fountains for my pets, and I can confidently say that this one is far better than the alternatives I’ve used. It has a large capacity, which helps keep the water very fresh for longer durations. One of the standout features is how extremely easy it is to clean; both the filter and the pump are simple to assemble and maintain compared to other brands I’ve encountered. Another great aspect of this fountain is that I've had no issues with scum or mold buildup, which is often a problem with other types. The separate drinking bowl also contributes to keeping the water cleaner for a longer time, making it more enjoyable for my cats. The accompanying app is fantastic, and my cats absolutely love using the fountain. Overall, it’s totally worth the price—it's cheaper than some alternatives I've tried while being far superior to them and to similarly priced options. The water flows well, and the entire unit operates very quietly, making it a perfect addition to our home.

I’m not sure why this water fountain is noted as being returned frequently. I have one in each suite of my commercial boutique cattery and they are fantastic. I’ve tried a lot in my time and this is the best. Silent operation. You can even set the light at the front to go off at a time that suits in the evening. The app works really well. I’ve only had them since Sept 2025 but so far so good. They are so easy to clean as well as the water container simply lifts off the base. I rarely write reviews but felt I had to stick up for this great water fountain.

I wished I had bought this sooner, easiest one of the best purchases in our house. The product design is amazing, reminds me of apple product. So neat, tidy and the attention to details is just top notch. It’s a pleasure to unbox it, install it and to use it. What really amazed me is how clean it keeps the water. I wash it and change filter etc flooring the app reminder. I am so surprised to see literally there is nothing to clean which shows how well the filter system works. I’ve used petmate for years and just wished I never bothered about that product which always appears dirty after a few days of cleaning. I literally can’t rave about this product enough. If you have any doubt investing in one of these, stop thinking and just get one. I love the app too. So user friendly. It gives you a little reminder for adding water, changing filter, cleaning etc. you can also set how often you want to run the filtering cycle. My cats took 2 a day or two to get used to it but they love drinking from it now.

Initially gave this 2 stars as it stopped working after just 5 months. However, PETKIT saw my review and resolved the issue without charge. A new pump was sent and it’s back to full functionality

Performance: The fountain itself is fantastic. It’s quiet, sleek, and my cat absolutely loves it. The water flow is perfect, and the UVC sterilisation feature gives me peace of mind knowing the water is clean and safe for my pet. The design is modern and fits nicely in my home. Initial Issue: However, the first unit I received had an issue where it did not detect a water shortage. This was a concern as it could potentially run dry, which isn’t ideal for maintaining the pump’s longevity or ensuring my cat always has water. Customer Service: The customer service was exceptional. Upon contacting them about the issue, they were prompt and very helpful. They facilitated a return without any hassle, and I was able to order a replacement unit. Resolution: The new unit arrived quickly and, unlike the first one, it accurately detects water shortage. This added feature has made a significant difference, and now I can rest assured that the fountain will alert me when it needs a refill. Conclusion: Despite the initial problem, I am very happy with the PETKIT Cat Water Fountain. The product works beautifully, and the customer service experience was excellent. If you encounter any issues, rest assured that they will be resolved efficiently. My cat and I are very satisfied with this purchase, and I highly recommend it.

Smelly, dirty water after just one day. Uvc light is barely visible at all - Petkit support informed me this is standard! Considering a replacement but there’s no spout or flower which means cats are dunking their chins into the basin, a lot…..

I can definitely recommend this over any other plastic water bowl. I was hesitant that the UV light would do anything but it really does seem to reduce grime and keeps the water looking fresh. Really easy to clean with the magnetic power base, i can take it all out and wash it without a worry. Pump appears to be high quality, made of plastic but is solid built and even has a small mesh filter for larger debris if it makes it past the fine filter. Haven't seen any leaks at all with this. Cats seem to prefer this and drink more often than a CatIt water fountain I had previously. Can't hear the operation of it at all.

I have many water fountains and they are usually pretty flawed. The biggest complaint with other brands is that the filter smells after a period of time. The Petkit filter doesn't. Maybe it has to do with the UVC pump. What I do know is that I have full confidence in this unit and my cat happily drinks from it. Other fountains are fiddly to clean - this so simple. It even comes with a brush and tweaser combo to help take the pump apart. No wires to worry about either. The base is like a wireless charger - it powers the pump without cables. Just lift off the main unit and give it a good clean. Take the pump apart and do likewise. I clean it every week and I don't even need to top-up during the week. I can honestly say this is the best pet water fountain I have used.
