These wool socks are great for wearing to lounge on cold winter evenings. They're very comfortable and not itchy at all. The size and fit are both good as is the thickness. I recommend these for lounging. I'm not sure how they would be for actual hiking as that's not what I use them for.

This is my first pair of Merino wool socks, so I’m not an expert but I know it’s supposed to be super fine wool and that’s what this looks like and it’s definitely wool for sure. They look like super high-quality, nice, soft, and lightweight yet thick socks, and looks very durable, time will tell. Very comfy, beautiful colors, and an absolutely incredible value. Wow. These socks are so warm, soft and comfortable to wear. They look great on my feet and I love the colors. They have a medium feeling thickness and are warm without being too thick and stretching out my shoes. They keep my feet warm without sweating. They washed well in the washing machine and didn't pill. Time will tell how durable they are and whether they will last some wear and tear.
