I have a Kenmore Elite HE3. Handle broke clear off. As others have said, the sheen of this replacement handle isn't an exact match, but I couldn't care less. Perfect fit and works great. Here's how you install. Open your dryer door. On the inside face, there are screws with torx heads and phillips heads. Don't touch the torx heads. Remove all the phillips screws (there are 10 on mine). Note that there are three different types of screws you're removing, and you'll want to make sure they all go back in the right places at the end. I laid mine out on the floor in a circle, maintaining the relative positioning. Once those 10 screws are out, you can easily pull off the exterior door cover. Flip it over and you'll see the two screws that hold the door handle in place. Insert the new handle and screw it in. Pop the assembly back on the dryer door and put all 10 screws back in, in the holes they came out of. With a drill, this whole installation took me three minutes.

Super easy to install (if you have done any work in your dryer door before, which I had. Make sure you pull up the manual so you aren't making more work for yourself by removing other screws that don't need to be removed for the handle replacement. Manuals are online too- srsly make it easy on yourself) Fit was perfect. This handle, as other reviews have stated, doesn't have the padded back, but this is a pretty minor inconvenience for a great priced, very needed piece! One could always glue something there if it was a big deal - there is a space there that a thin pad could be glued too. Would buy again, would recommend You'd never know looking at the machine that it wasn't the factory handle.

This handle will work as a direct replacement of the OEM handle but doesn't have as glossy a finish and may have some minor cosmetic blemishes. The handle also doesn't come with the rubber insert on the back. You can swap out the OEM one, but the mold is slightly different, causing the insert to not fit in all the way, quite as snuggly. Overall, it's a great aftermarket replacement for a quarter of the OEM handle price.

After years of dealing with a broken Kenmore dryer door handle that I didn’t replace since the OEM replacement was plastic like the original, I saw this one on Amazon and for the price decided to give it a try. Still plastic and not padded on the back, but I think it may have been redesigned and made thicker than the original. Simple to replace and should last the life of the appliance. Looks as good as the original !

Advertised as alloy steel and it's plastic like the original, price is ok but don't say it's steel when it's not
