Perfect for animals during cold snaps in winter
This kept the neighborhood cats alive in the cold dips this winter. I stuffed it around my wood pile, and I have a cover on my wood pile and they would gather inside and be warm from the straw. It was very easy to use. I found no problem with the quality or a moisture level. It is expensive, but I’m the kind of person that just can’t let cats be out in the cold.

A fantastic product
This item is ideal for my grass patching projects. I used just a fraction of it to cover a 36” circle of new grass seed. It is so easy to use and store. I have more than enough for several other patches. Totally satisfied.

Worth Every Cent! Stays put to protect, even in wind and rain.
This wheat straw works well at covering seeded land, protecting my investment from hungry birds and helping the soil remain moist. Though easy to use, having a second person water quickly before and after placement definitely made things easier in my windy conditions. It seemed like a bit of money at first, but considering all the time and costs to prep, seed/plant, water, fertilize, supplement, etc… I decided it was an important purchase to protect my investments! Only wish I had bought MORE! Ended up expanding the area that I’d planned on covering. Purchased a similar straw with tacky substrate to use on that area. The local straw cost much less. Guess what? The local straw DID much less! The local straw blew off in the night and that ground looked bare. Lesson learned!! The tacky substrate in this worked great! The larger/longer size was effective with both tack and weight helping it stay put despite high winds. This is giving the sprouting process an advantage and a I’m thrilled. Will be using this versatile product more frequently!

Keeping the cats toasty warm
Having a feral crew outback has changed how I feel about cats. This straw is perfect to add into their condos keeping them warm & toasty. Having snow fall hasn’t messed the straw up, which was my main reason for getting. There’s a wire wrapped around so be careful to not rip the pkg open and scratch your arm. Easily added this to the shelters & I should mention - no odor. Open, put where it’s needed and that’s it. Super easy to use while keeping dry. This is my 2nd purchase of this product bc it’s quality straw.

VERY disappointed!!
VERY disappointed, I paid $40 for an amount of straw that barely fills a cat carrier!! I got this to help my backyard wildlife through the zero temps. It’s not even enough to cover the bottom of the kids play house! 😞
