Idea for the environmentally concious!
I hated the waste that regular sanitary pads left; lots of plastic, unnecessary wastage and some brands like Always and Tampax are even tested on animals! A lot of unpleasant business! I am currently using the contraceptive implant and to all of the people who have used contraceptive devices or medication before know that they can leave rather undesired side effects that leave you uncomfortable and anxious. I wanted to give these a try after just having the implant removed and refitted to help with any side effects and just for my own piece of mind. I bought the little blue pack which includes ten towels; three small, four medium sized and three large. Firstly, and most importantly, they are comfortable! No irritants, no rubbing or chafing just soft and comfortable bamboo fiber! These popper up on the bottom so are effectively just sanitary towels with wings. The three smaller pads are for daily wear, the larger ones being for daily periods and for overnight use. The little storage, wet and dry bag is a wonderful little add-on too! idea; for storage and even for when you wash them! I held back from buying as I originally thought, ' reusable pads sound unsanitary' but I couldn't have been more wrong! These pads are made from bamboo fiber and PU coated bamboo making the underneath and wings completely water proof, leading to no spills or stains! Just machine wash these on a low, in or out of the bag or even hand wash and they're clean as only the softer, bamboo fiber section absorbs. Wonderful for the carbon footprint conscious, those against animal testing or those who are looking to save money by not buying highly priced sanity products!

These are amazing and highly recommend!
I wanted to try reusable sanitary pads/towels because I was sick of a) the amount of waste from ordinary shop-bought towels which is not good for the environment and b) the amount of money I ended up paying each month for the towels. Also I'd heard that sometimes the shop-bought ones have chemicals which make us ladies bleed out more, meaning we then have to buy more towels. Grrrr. Really not good. So.... This pack of 10 is amazing value for money. It comes with x4 small pads (perfect for every day discharge or very light periods), x3 medium/long day pads which are perfect for medium to heavy periods in the day time, and x 3 extra long/thick pads for heavy flow at night. The pack also includes a medium wet bag which is roomy enough to put quite a few spare towels, but also not overly big (I have tried some other companies wet bags and they are just too ridiculously large and cumbersome but this is perfect). All the towels/pads are all made with very good quality and nice looking fabric. The bamboo is very soft to your "delicate" bits, and the outside material seems to be wipe-clean and waterproof, whilst also having a nice design. The popper is strong but not intrusive. I must say that washing the pads/towels is easy as pie. I just rinse in cold water first until it runs clear and I tend to then soak them in warm water in a little bucket with non bio detergent and leave for a while, and they come out lovely and clean and fresh. Sometimes I put them in the washing machine and they wash well like this too. I then hang to dry either on our airer (using clothes pegs on a hanger), or inside our airing cupboard where it's nice and warm. They dry within a 2-3 hours I would say and they are then like new and ready to use. I find these so comfortable to wear but also I love the fact that I barely have to change them, despite having heavy periods. When I used to use shop brands, I would have to change my pads up between 10-15 times a day, minimum, but with these reusable ones, I only have to use TWO in the day and ONE at night! It's AMAZING! I have heard that in shop bought pads, sometimes there is a chemical in the pad which actually makes you bleed out more and for longer, meaning you buy more of their pads. A horrible thought I know and highly unethical, but I'm beginning to think that the rumour is true :-( So now I have found these reusable pads, I won't look back now. I really do recommend you try them - I doubt you will be disappointed and in fact, you will probably love them like I do! Thanks for an amazing product! It really has changed my life for the better and I'm so grateful :-)

Good starter pack
This set is a really good one to purchase If you’re first getting started using reusable pads. They’ve very comfortable and easy to store and use. I’d say my flow is medium and found they absorbed well. You need tight fitted underwear to stop them from moving around as I discovered lol This set can help you figure out what sizes you’re comfortable using too. They’re relatively easy to clean but I do wish the wings had the same absorbent material as the rest of the lad does as it tends to stain very easily there. And sometimes I leak and it’s not as absorbing compared to the brown material. I loved this product and will purchase more to move away from the disposable ones. No smells! No itching or rashes on the skin and it just feels like wearing thick underwear.

Excellent Product, Highly Recommend!!
I cannot recommend these reusable towels, they are excellent! I have highly sensitive skin as any lady knows being sensitive in your delicate areas during your period is the most awful thing, so then having to use products that irritate skin that is already irritated makes your period even worse than it feels. Not anymore with these towels! No irritation, no spots, no thrush like symptoms. They are very comfy. When you read up on these products they apparently don't carry anymore danger from Toxic Stock Syndrome than normal sanitary pads. There can be a slight odour, but thats only when taking it off and rinsing it out before the main wash. I would recommend buying one pack first to see if they're for you, but then get another pack after that. If you suffer from really heavy periods buy 3...I only say this as you'd need a good 12-14 hours drying time. Now that could be because I live a cold old house, but they do dry quickly. They wash fine on a 30c wash, but I put mine either on the 40 or 50c wash. Sometimes you'll find that washing detergent can leave the odd white mark, but just rinse again and it should be ok. They are a little bulky especially the pads for heavy flow and because they don't stick to your underwear (they have a popper to hold the wings together) they can move towards the back of your underwear, but I found that if I pulled them forward enough they settle properly. Again back to the washing of them, that is really the only downside but if you have enough its not the end of the world. If you're at work all day, they are easy to just fold and close with the popper, put them into either the bag they come with or another one and then wash on high when you get home. From an environmental stand point, they are excellent and a real eye opener to the amount of towels used and them thrown away. I'd say I'd throw away about 40 a month and I don't suffer with awful periods I am very lucky, but I can imagine allot of ladies who do suffer must use double that, and that is allot to go to landfill which only pollutes the ground and water ways. So if you're looking to be more environment conscious these are the way to go. 2 years on from what I wrote above and they're still the same. Best thing I ever bought. Made a hell of a difference. Washing and drying is the only down side as drying takes a while. Old house and all that 🙄

Great decision to change to reusable pads!
My first time buying reusable pads. I love them! I really like the fact that I have cut my use of the disposable ones by 70%. Less ending in landfills and much less money spent! I only buy disposable pads every 3 months now! In the past, I changed to organic cotton disposable pads because everything else irritated my skin. These ones do not cause me any irritation at all and I am cleaner too because there are much less leaks! The only downside for me is that I can only wear the small ones outside the house because the bigger ones create a bulge in the back, so the first three days of my period I only wear the big ones in the house. In addition, the small ones can sometimes slip on the back and while they still cover me, I might need to rearrange them in a bathroom. Also, the first two nights I wear the big ones at night plus one disposable in the back to catch possible leaks. Sometimes I didn’t have any leaks in the morning, others I did, so I wear them just in case. All in all, I only use 4-5 disposable pads every month! It is amazing how much blood they hold and, once I got used to the idea, I don’t have to change pad every time I go to the bathroom. I can wear it all day with heavy flow and only see a tiny bit of blood on it! And I have much less leaks in comparison to the disposable ones, which means I am cleaner and everything I sit on is in much less danger. I do not feel more wet like some other people feel. At least not more than I felt with disposable ones anyway. I never had a problem with seeing blood so cleaning them was no issue. At first I breathed from my mouth because you can smell the coppery scent of blood but now I’m used to that too. The only not-such-a-big-deal thing with cleaning them is that if I have to go out, which means I need to change to a disposable pad, I have to count in like three minutes to wash the pad before I leave. So if I’m in a hurry it can be a bit frustrating. Of course now that I’ve been using them for months I never forget. Honestly, I’m very happy with them! The negatives I mentioned are not really negatives to me. Mostly it was the change in my routine that I had to get used to. Now it’s much better than before with the disposable pads. Also, an unexpected good thing was that even my boyfriend prefers them. He says it’s funnier and much better to look at a pretty piece of textile than a white pad and I totally agree. I never liked the aesthetics of the disposable pads, no matter how useful and necessary they were, and now my period is much ‘prettier’. Great life choice for me!

Impressed
I am very impressed with these towels, they're easy to use and clean, very comfortable and have better absorbancy than regular disposable ones. The wet/dry bag is also bigger than I expected. Two zipped pockets, one lined for the used ones and one unlined for the clean ones. I haven't needed to use the bag so I can't comment on it's usefulness or effectiveness. These pads come in three sizes, large, medium, small. As previously stated, they're more absorbent than their disposable counterparts so you might not need to change as often but it does depend on the individual. Downside is that the absorbent pad is black so it's hard to tell just how "full" a towel is, however it does absorb the unpleasant smell. Cleaning is easy, rinse under a cold tap, squeezing occasionally untill the water is clear then put in the washing machine on a delicate 30 degrees using non-bio detergent with softener and air dry. They do dry fairly quickly. I highly recommend these as they'll save you money.

They work, and will last for years
I have been using these (in conjunction with a moon cup) for 4 years, and they are fine. They work as well now as they did when I bought them. My only criticism would be that the fleece and materials used are not very breathable, and when wearing for a period of time, can get a bit hot and sweaty. I tried making my own from absorbent and waterproof pu cotton material - they were fiddly to make so I only made 3 of them, and they looked a bit handmade too. But the homemade cotton ones are so much more breathable and such a joy to wear in comparison to these fleece ones. Having said that, these are no less bearable than wearing disposable pads, and they don't leak, so that's good!

Superb!
I’m super happy with these pads! I’ve been meaning to try reusable pads for a long time, especially after purchasing a menstrual cup. I always felt guilty after using and disposing of regular sanitary pads, knowing they’ll be going straight to landfill. I found these and decided to try them out. When beginning my period, I don’t feel comfortable using a menstrual cup so pads are my go-to. These were quick and prompt delivery, I was so excited to use them! I appreciate the variety you get in a pack and it’s exceptional value to get 10 pads in different sizes! Easy to clip in underwear, feel like regular pads but slightly thicker, which is understandable. I have yet to have any leaks (which is amazing!) and they seem to hold a lot of flow. I change my pads depending on how heavy I am. As you get a lot of choice of sizes, I’ve been using the medium size for day times and the larger for night times. As per instructions, you can rinse out with cold water and leave to soak with detergent, then rinse and air dry. I did this and let air dry overnight, meaning I had fresh pads for the day after. It’s just so practical, not to mention, SO much better than chemically bleached pads against your skin and being dumped in the bin after one use. I’ve just done my first machine wash and I put 5 pads on a 30 with just Persil Non-Bio on a quick wash, they’ve come out fresh and good as new. I cannot recommend these enough. You’re saving money, being much more environmentally friendly and contributing less to waste as well as putting less chemicals against your body.

Consigliatissimi!!
