I love Lego and have purchased a lot of sets over the years, but this has to be one of the coolest Lego sets of all time. Not only does this set look good (and is pretty faithful to movie design), but it packs a ton of playable functionality into a very tiny package. The wings fold and flap, and there is an insanely cool fold-out landing gear. Even if you aren't a huge fan of Dune, this set is really cool and worth picking up when it's on sale. Major props to the folks at Lego who designed this set [I want to hug you all].

Fun to build, has some fun functions and is a great display piece!

First, I’m an advanced builder. I’ve done hundreds of sets over the last few years, mostly 18+ and some of the most advanced sets LEGO has available. This is by far one of the most complex and rewarding builds I’ve ever done. If you’re a first time builder or your last set was a castle when you were 8 years old- this set might not be the best set to jump into.As for the review mentioning a missing piece. As I said, I’ve built hundreds of sets- never had a single missing piece. Almost 100% of the time, it’s the person building not being thorough. They’ll spend hours scouring the floor but not think to look back in the bag. That’s almost ALWAYS where a “missing” piece is.In any case, LEGO will rush out a replacement for that piece you probably threw in the trash.This set is a great value. Number of minifigs is insane. And it may be the only Dune set we get.

My son had this built in less then 2 hours. He absolutely loved his gift. Hours of fun building and now he's enjoying the artistry of the flying masterpiece. We'll worth the money if you have someone who loves a challenge and love to build.

I bought this for my 45yo brother (yes, we're nerds). He was amazed by the complexity and structural strength of the build. The wings expanding and flapping is super cool. The counter locking gears is just neat. I knew it was big from the specs, but when I saw it in person, I was surprised--this thing is huge. I might buy one for myself now, too.

Very impressive Lego. It's pretty cool looking and my son really loved building it. Plus you can buy lights for it too.
