Unsure why all the negative reviews. Buy it and try it!
I'm not sure if the negative reviews are just from picky people but this pumice arrived and I held my breath opening the box. Yes it's different sizes, it's also quite cheap for the amount you get. I use as a soil amendment for my plants that like to dry out quicker. It's been perfect and exactly what I was hoping for. I will be using this in place of perlite for every plant I have to repot this year. Might even have to repot a couple that are doing alright but need better drainage. I can't stand perlite - the dust and how it always seems to rise to the top of the pot were getting on my nerves. I'll be ordering this pumice again soon and never going back to the crunchy stuff.

Awwwwesooome! Totally worth it.
Tremendous value for $20. The size of the rocks in the bag I received were roughly 65% 1/8 inch and 35% 1/4 inch. Not much “dusty” material at all (maybe two handfuls) considering shipping and the overall contents of the bag. The smaller rocks still look great as a top dressing and works perfectly in a soil mix. Very, very happy, will buy again.

Good and affordable.
Got this to make a grittier soil mix for my succulents. The pumice comes in various sizes, but nothing powdery thankfully! It's a little annoying to have to sift through the rocks to get the appropriate size for my pots, but for the price this is pretty decent pumice. It's definitely one of the more affordable options out there so I don't mind the little extra work.

Great soil amendment for drainage
I searched my local garden centers for small pumice rocks without success. Of course, Amazon had many options. I chose this particular one because it appeared, based on reviews, to have a good range of rock sizes up to about a quarter inch. The box of rocks that arrived are perfect for my needs. I've become a house plant enthusiast and needed to create a potting mix that drained better. Perlite is a great addition for drainage but tends to float to the surface of the soil after a few waterings and isn't as effective over time. The pumice doesn't float and also offers better soil structure. I also used these as a soil cover for my desert rose plant. I'm very pleased with this purchase and will buy this product again when I need more.

Not Like The Picture...but usable for my needs
I ordered this in spite of the many negative reviews it had. Figured I would return it at no cost to me if it was as bad as some said. Only about ONE CUP out of the entire bag of it actually looks (size-wise) like the picture in the ad listing. The rest is MUCH smaller... almost like large grains of sand. I didn't get a lot of "dust" that people complain about. But I used it in a cacti soil recipe do it worked good to help the soil drain well. Don't buy it if you want to use it as decorative top dressing in your pots. They offer some other bagged pumice that is apparently sifted to give you consistent, larger pieces. Depends on how you're going to use the products.

This is not a small bag but a huge box!!
This was a huge surprise on how much you got! You do get quite a bit. I thought this was going to be a small bag but turned out to be a big box. Definitely worth it when you can’t buy it local. The thickness and quality is great. I make my own soil mixes and this worked out perfect.

It’s alright
The pumice is pretty decent for soil amendment. But I was hoping to use it as a top dressing also. but, the pumice has a stained discoloration. So I can’t. It looks tacky.
