complete pack with 2 pens and 2 rolls of heat foil
I'm new to a curio 2. I had less trouble with the heat pen and foil, then with the settings for cutting. I'm still playing around, but in general, i'm happy with the heat pen. I like that this pack comes with 2 different size pens, and 2 rolls of heat foil.

Once I figured out a few things, I love it
We all know that there’s a learning curve with all things Silhouette, and the information out there on how to use some of the tools isn’t great. There are a few videos on YouTube that helped me figure out how to use this tool, but I couldn’t for the life of me get my machine to register it. Welp, just like a lot of technology, I just had to turn my Cameo off and back on again 😂 so, make sure you install this tool before you turn on your machine. I don’t love the foil that comes with it (the gold is way too yellow and 3” wide kind of sucks) but I found another product on Amazon I love that’s 4” wide instead of 3” and 400 feet long (search “light gold heat transfer foil”) You do need to allow some extra foil on all sides and tape your foil pretty taut as well, but after some trial and error, the results are really great! I’m looking forward to more foiling projects in the future.

They're so easy now
I didn't like them at first because they took forever. I had used the foil quill before and thought these would be the same. I didn't realize you needed to set them as specialty tools. Now that I figured that out, these are great! I love that I don't have to tape cords so they don't drag under the rollers anymore! They're the reason I bought the cameo 5 and are worth it for me!

Not worth the hype. WRMK foil quil pens are way better, plus they come in more widths. Silhouette heat pens take an eternity to warm up - longer than the stated 3 mins, whereas foil quils are ready to go in less than a minute.
