Great Product for Peace of Mind. FITMENT IS FINE for N54.
Fits N54 just perfectly. Those who complain about rubbing probably didn't put attention in alignment when tightening the bolts. It was so easy that you could use a small piece of paper to go around the seam to ensure the part is installed correctly. It's supposed to leave as a small gap as possible in order to prevent the belt suction catastrophe. I'd say they might as well leave the job to the professionals if this is that hard to figure out. The price beats those so called name brands that shamelessly charge 3 or 5 times more. With my OCD kicking in, I didn't use the hardware coming along with the product. Instead, I bought genuine BMW bolts 07119904514 that is intended as the AC compressor mounting bolts. Very happy with the outcome.

A must have for any N52/54
If you have a N52/54 this will save you car, literally. My belt broke and wound up behind the crankshaft pulley. If you have ever done this job, not exactly a fun project to do. This bolts right up, and saves you from destroying an engine over a serpentine belt.

Did not fit on my n51. Just buy one from 034, ECS tuning, or FCP euro instead.
Would not fit my N51. I installed this and put everything back together forgetting to check the clearance and my engine wouldn’t start. I couldn’t turn the crank with a ratchet so I took it all apart to try to adjust the crank seal guard. I adjusted it and torqued the crank pulley bolts only for it to not turn still. I ended up just leaving it off. It was cheap but I wasted a lot of time on the job. It’s worth it to get the 034 Motorsport crank seal guard instead of this cheap garbage. There was no clearance between the guard and my crankshaft pulley.

Works as should / attention to detail
Works as it should. Measure spacing with a sheet of paper all around then tighten the bolts so it’s not too close to the hub on one side compared to the other. Attention to detail with this part. Don’t just throw it on and put it back together and it works just fine.

The guard itself looks great but the supplied bolts are the same length as the original, they should be longer to make up for the thickness of the guard.
