Is this a true taper or do these funnels have air release crimps in the taper?

They are machine tapered but are two piece with a fitted/crimped outlet. They aren’t a solid one piece funnel if that’s what you’re looking for.

Is this 304 food grade stainless steel?

Our product is not made of 304 material, but another food grade stainless steel material. We had the product department test several stainless steel products. On the definition of stainless steel products material, before being processed by the machine is indeed non-magnetic or very weak magnetic, but in the place of processing and polishing, due to the grinding effect of the machine, the magnetic material will be stronger, such as funnel mouth, roll edge, this is a normal physical phenomenon. The material used in our products is food grade stainless steel.thank you!!!

Is it possible to sterilize the funnels prior to using them for milk?

Immersing a funnel in boiling water or steaming a funnel should sterilize it but I do not know just how long the funnel should get boiled or steamed, perhaps a matter of minutes.

Are these funnels seamless?

There appears to be a seam from the funnel to the spout at the bottom. It has never been an issue for me.
