This song book is easy to use and the chord sheet with each song helps in playing the songs. I highly recommend this book to any level player. It has many of today's top hits and I was playing these songs in a matter of days, not weeks or months. This is a must have song book. Get it.

This book is easy to use for beginners like me who want to play for their own enjoyment and their family’s. It’s pre owned, but in like new condition. I received this book a full week earlier than I had expected. The book has songs from all styles and with a small amount of musical knowledge, I have mastered several songs with a little practice.

Best for beginners for sure. Chord chart located at top of each song a plus.

I was looking forward for years for another Piano Guy fake book. The first had great songs and actually sounded good in the key of C. Of course, the next statement is my personal opinion, so take it for what it's worth. The choice of songs in this book is poor. In Vol. 1 I enjoy almost all the songs, even though I didn't know all of them. I still enjoyed learning them. In Vol. 2 very few. I don't know how they chose the play list, but they need to do better in Vol. 3. Also, not all songs sound good in the key of C. My advise is to look at the song list and decide for yourself. For Scott: How about pushing us to a book or songs in the key of D. One black note we should be able to handle, and it would open up many more songs.

This is my favorite piano book. Scott Houston’s arrangements are easy, but don’t sound like it. I’m just learning to play with fakes books instead of traditional music & I LOVE this. It’s so fine to be able to sit down & play pop music right away.

The music in this book is available elsewhere (in Hal Leonard's easy fake book series). The difference with this book is that before each song Scott includes pictures of which keys go with each chord in the song. He also includes a second, more advanced version of that chord that you can substitute to make the song sound "hipper". (His words.) The great thing is that I can now take these ideas for more advanced chords and apply them to some other fake books to make the music sound better. The songs are easy enough that you feel satisfied and not frustrated, but they take time and effort to master completely.

Both book one and two are really good fake books. They have chord charts on every song. There are no fillers and the song selections are great with good variety and variety of rhythms. You can play straight out this book for a gig. I perform and teach and am going to highly recommend both these books to my students. I just love these books.

Too simple and easy so much so that doesnt sound quite like the original tune. Dont waste your money on this book.

This is a truly great instructional book for would-be piano players. Scott's promise in regard to your learning quickly, easily, and having fun while doing it is the absolute truth! I came to it from 7 years of learning to play classical music but longed to play popular music and couldn't seem to manage it on my own. I began with his first book in the series and immediately ordered this second one. I highly recommend his methods and his books! Enjoy!

I really love these books from Scott, Great choice of music and I love the way he includes illustrations of all the chords with each piece; it saves a lot of time searching while I am still in learning mode.
