This Kidde 5BC fire extinguisher is a great size for a vehicle. It fits nicely without taking up too much space, yet still feels substantial and reassuring to have onboard. I mounted it to the roll bar in my Bronco using a separate Velcro mounting kit (not included with the extinguisher), and the fit is perfect. It’s secure, easy to access, and doesn’t get in the way. Even over rough roads, it stays put. Overall, this is an excellent fire extinguisher for cars, trucks, or off-road vehicles. Well-made, trusted brand, and the size is ideal for vehicle use. Highly recommended.

Luckily I've not actually used it. But it arrived and looks impressive. Like life insurance, it's a product that's needed, but that you hope is a waste of money.

Have carried these in our cars for years and never needed them until recently when we came upon a car fire and used it to help knock down the fire under the hood. Easy to remove from the bracket, easy to use (PASS) and the chemicals suppressed the fire as expected. Order a replacement the very next day. Will always ensure we have one in the car. We use Velcro on the bracket assembly to hold the fire extinguisher to the carpet in the car storage area. Keeps it from rolling around. You never know when you will need it but it could save someone’s life.
