JAKKS Pacific Sonic Prime 5" Articulated Action Figure - Rusty Rose Yoke City

This is a great figure! The joints move nicely, but are a tad stiff. However, the stiff joints make this character pretty sturdy and able to stand alone! The paint quality is great, and the additional paint texture used to give a rusty sheen is sublime! I was even fooled for a brief moment when taking her out of the box because I thought “geez she’s kinda dirty! Oh waaait! That’s intentional!” Her arm does extend as advertised, and I included pictures to demonstrate it. It is a tad underwhelming the extent of her extension heh heh but it definitely does the trick as a selling feature! The chances are that her arm does extend more than what I showcased in the photos, but I really don’t want to yank her on her arm like a Sonic-crazed lunatic. Everything on her is sturdy and made of plastic except for the spikes on her forehead. They’re a tad rubbery, and moveable. Her size is great, and fits perfectly in my palm! I want to add that her head can’t do a 360 degree turn because her hair spikes can’t move past her shoulder pads. Some mobility stifling aspects of her are like that, where her clothing and robot parts interfere with the articulation. That’s why the back of her head showcases her neck joint so blatantly. If her spikes on the back were any longer, then she definitely couldn’t turn her head at all. I’d like to conclude this review with this fact: Rusty Rose hasn’t yet attacked me for resisting the Chaos Council so…she really is pretty good!

For the $14.99 price tag. This toy is very well done. Rusty Rose has quite a bit going on. Most notably the fantastic paint job. She has paintwork meant to give the illusion of damaged and worn metal. And she has metallic bits to make the illusion pop. She also has double jointed elbows and knees. And feels rather sturdy. So she would be difficult for a kid to accidentally break. Her bangs are also made out of a soft pvc material. So there are no parts of the toy that could hurt you. She is taller then the main line series by Jakks. But Rusty is a taller character, so she goes pretty well with a Jakks display or collection. I highly recommend this for both young and old Sonic fans.

By far the best figure in the Prime line, no loose joints and she’s very detailed!

Decently detailed, pretty good as a nice little display of Rusty Rose on a desk or shelf. Reason it's not getting 5 starts is because it is somewhat limited in terms of limb positions and can break if you're rough with it. The legs are the most flexible, followed by the arms, and then the head. Arms only fold and rotate at the shoulders, the head rotated horizontally only, the legs joints are the most flexible with ball joints and feet that can be adjusted as well. The box mentioned an extendable arm, which is her left arm, but it doesn't really extend at all. Still, the details on the figure is what is worth the 4 stars and the money. Like I said, pretty good as a display figure.

As a Sonic fan since I could read, I always liked the concept of the Roboticization as it was intended to use in the Archie series. Transform someone organic after a serious injury to a mechanical form that retains their mind but allows them to be repaired and turned back once the problem had been fixed. Rusty is very much a take on the idea, though a cyborg not a Robian still invokes the idea. The figure is a tad bendable if I'm humbly honest, but suited for both collecting and kids playing. Still am going to be careful with her, and one other thing the texture of the plastic when touched gives the texture feel I would expect from worn steel. Jaz Wares keep doing this and it will bring you more of my business.

Definitely an incredible design and paint job, she's bigger than the standard Sonic figures, but in scale with other Prime figures. Some joints are stiff, I'd recommend heating her up a little before trying to pose her. No accessories, which is disappointing. The box she comes in is pretty big, I think they could've tossed in something. Her hammer? Or the bird in her chest? Still, she's a highly recommend figure for any Sonic Prime fans out there.

Great stuffie for a Sonic-themed room and a Sonic fan

My 5 ye old girl is a huge Sonic fan so when we saw Amy rose in the same size as her Sonic we had to get it. Not even a day of her playing with it has it broke. First the arm came off then the other arm. Looking at how it’s made, you have to ask “what were they thinking?” The joints are tiny little plastic brackets that there is no way they can handle regular play from a kid. I think these are designed as collectibles because they are so weakly made.

Bought for my son who loves all things Sonic. He loves it of course!

Some articulate like hands, heads, other parts seems to be weak. No sign of damage apart but the friction are lose it dosen't stay in place. I might just order another one.
