Bought this for a family member who is adamant his mental health has nothing to do with alcoholism. It was a pricey gamble but has actually made a huge difference to the way he thinks and has really helped! 100% worth the money, thank you.

The Addiction Recovery Skills Workbook is a well-rounded and practical guide for anyone on the journey to overcoming addictive behaviors. By blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques, this workbook offers an evidence-based approach that is both empowering and accessible. The exercises and worksheets are thoughtfully designed to help readers identify triggers, reframe negative thought patterns, and build healthier coping mechanisms. What I appreciate most is the workbook’s emphasis on mindfulness—helping individuals cultivate present-moment awareness to reduce impulsivity and emotional reactivity. The structure of the book is easy to follow, making it suitable for self-guided use or as a complement to therapy. The authors strike a perfect balance between empathy and expertise, ensuring readers feel supported without being overwhelmed. Whether you're a professional working with clients in recovery or someone seeking tools for personal growth, this workbook is a valuable resource. Highly recommended!

Absolutely recommendable: - easy to read and understand - the 7 steps offer a complete scheme for recovery - helpful examples - positive/hopeful - construction of a personal recovery plan Addicts can use the book on their own, but I prefer to supervise them in their recovery process.
