I really was thinking about four stars due to the difficulty I had putting it up. The instructions that comes with it is very sketchy. Very difficult to follow and it’s all in metric. I must’ve spent several hours off and trying to put this on my door. It’s on my entrance door, which is metal. But once I figured it out, it works wonderful. It takes a little effort to pull the door open, which is normal due to this pressure on the closer but when it closes, it is so smooth. I’m very pleased with this product. I will add… If you are a DIY, is going to take a lot of skills. Would be very easy for a professional. One last thing. Do not mess with the saving screws until you have the door opener mounted

I bought this because my kids are constantly leaving the front door wide open — and with huskies in the house, that’s a recipe for a runaway situation! The first time my dad came over after I installed it, he thought I was holding the door shut because of how much pressure it applies. It really snaps the door closed with force, which is exactly what I needed. Installation was easy, the size is just right, and it feels very durable. For the price, I was seriously impressed. One thing to note: it closes the door quickly and firmly, so if you have small children or elderly family members, you’ll want to help them with the door. My kid is 15, so that’s not an issue for us. If you’ve got escape-artist pets or just want to make sure your door actually closes every time, I highly recommend this!

Awesome product! I got this to help close a door that gets left open and releases a dog into the yard. It is very strong. The instructions were a little hard to understand at first but I watched a video which helped a lot. There are multiple mounting configurations for different types of doors and frames.

Absolutely terrible! Unfortunately I missed the return window for this by one day. It might be ok for lightweight doors, but the metal is so lightweight that the turnbuckle part of the shaft sheared off inside the arm the first time the door closed. What a waste of money.

I found the installation to be a breeze, especially with the placement template. The closers are compact, easily reversible and have a 2-stage closure which is completely adjustable. My only issue is that if you consider that most commercial doors are metal, why is the included mounting hardware for wood?! I replaced all the wood screws with self-tapping sheet metal screws and had no other issues.
