Bosch DD500 5-Inch Premium Segmented Tuckpointing Blade

Got this blade from Amazon. The transaction went well. I put it on my regular 4 1/2" Harbor Freight grinder (had to make a new, slightly larger guard). To say that it cuts through mortar and brick like a hot knife through butter is an understatement. You have to use care not to accidentally grind into adjacent brick. It makes short work of grinding out old mortar. It can be an extremely dusty proposition, so be sure to wear the proper masks and such. I put filter material around my grinder to keep the abrasive dust out of the tool. I've used my blade quite a lot and it's still sharp. Hope this helps.

Works but the Diamonds get clogged easy. Definitely not impressed specially for the price. Great for a do it yourselfer.

I bought this item together with a Bosch tuckpoint grinder. On first startup, this blade had a lot of vibrations. It was enough to shake loose the fastening bolts/nuts on the tuckpointing guard and made it uncomfortable to hold the grinder. I had not tried it until I had everything setup up to do the job or I would have returned it. I can't recommend another specific alternative to this blade but advise trying something else.

If you are going to do any amount of tuckpointing, this is the blade for you. I wish they made a wider version for a little larger joints.

Much better than the double style I had before....does not throw big particles at my hands and face areas.

I'm sure these are fine for what they are, but they are labeled as sandwich blades and they are not. I thought the picture must have been wrong but it wasn't and I was disappointed when I got them and found that they had been labeled improperly. Amazon rectified the situation and I ordered some dewalt sandwich blades.

I have used this blade many times before in tuck pointing work. The price was $68. for 2 blades and that is a very good price and the least expensive price I have ever paid for genuine DD500's. I am well satisfied with the price and with the timely delivery.
