How are you supposed to use this? I tried to cut a boiled egg last night and gave up. HELP!

I use mine mainly to chop green olives in a stainless bowl, and it works superbly! Hard boiled eggs too. Mine is ancient and still works perfectly. I’m ordering more now for gifts.
