The right size and the right tool
I got several of these to agitate my collection of scale model paints. I needed something small enough to fit the 17ml dropper bottles and with the shape that would ensure a thorough agitation of the paint. I used them on thin, lacquer based paints, and also on (a bit thicker) acrylic paints. The plastic covering is inert to most solvents so you do no need to worry about any changes in paint chemistry. In both cases, it helped provide a well mixed, homogeneous paint that I could use immediately. I was getting tired of shaking by hand and not getting as good results as what these agitators provide. Now I need to get more for some more paint I ordered :)
