I love this! It is a great product! I had to place my Mom in a nursing home after she had a massive stroke. She lost use of one arm and has global aphasia with some brain damage. She doesn't have to do a thing except look into the camera when I call! I'm in a different state than her and I couldn't be more pleased! Easy to set up, easy to invite people to be placed on the list of callers, easy to put pictures on, affordable (worth the $10/month), but most importantly, easy for HER to see her loved ones and she doesn't even have to touch the screen! I highly recommend this product to anyone!!!!

This is a wonderful product. Three cheers! As my 91-year-old mother has gotten more and more befuddled with her iPhone, ViewClix has become our go-to way to communicate. She lives in a retirement home that has only shared Wi-Fi, but I realized her senior Verizon account offers unlimited data, so I made her iPhone the Wi-Fi hotspot, and it works perfectly!! I was able to add my brothers to the account so they can easily communicate, and we can do group calls. It's very nice to see her whole room instead of just her face when she holds her iPhone. I looked at the Alexa Echo product, but it just had too many features that would confuse her ~ she literally does not have to touch this device at all. I have even turned off all the extra features on ViewClix, i.e. weather and time because I want it to be just a communication device. She loves it and so does the rest of the family.

So I’ve tried Zoom and almost all other ways to video call and there are too many windows and buttons for my mom and sister to understand. This thing was SO easy to set up, and functions as a slideshow picture frame and the BEST part is I just use the app to video call and all they have to do is stand in front of it and make sure it’s on!! Call quality is great! If my family can figure it out -trust me-so can yours!!

Easy set up... the biggest decission was what mounting solution to go with and where to mount it. I used an arm mount on a dresser and the distance and hearing ability of my father-in-law made the use of a phone beneficial. He often is in a wheel chair and uses a phone on a side table (which may have been a better mouning point. I had to screw the mounting arm to the table (would have been the same for the side table) since the clamp mount needed a couple of inches to be useable. I am 2,000 miles way so adjustments don't come easy. I am very happy with this solution. It requires a subscription ($10 month after the first month) only for use a couple hours a day, which adresses facility concerns about monitoring.

A friend recommended ViewClix to me for my elderly parents, who live a few hours away from us. I’m thrilled to have ViewClix and it’s been a wonderful way for me to stay connected with them. Neither of them are very good with tech devices and I was initially concerned this would be too difficult for them. The remote management makes it easy as they do not have to do anything and I’m able to chat with them on a video call almost daily now. Mom is starting to have memory issues and the video calls have helped a lot! They really enjoy the new photos and videos all the family has started to share with the frame. Being able to schedule reminders is also a nice feature. Set up was simple and when I did have a question their support was very helpful. I highly recommend ViewClix.

The $10/mo was not a welcomed surprise. 2nd, you can’t make a video call from the screen. You have to download an app and then call from your phone. The person with screen can’t call you from it. I got 3 of them so my Dad and his grandchildren could video chat, but it’s not practical for any of them because one would have to call from a phone in a different room from where screen is. My grandkids don’t have a phone and they wanted to video chat with their grandfather whenever they wanted. The grandfather is always in his chair where screen is so he’d have to go to different room to call out. I’ll just stick with iPhone’s FaceTime or Google’s hub.. Plus it has much better audio and visual quality than this. Also, get this, it has weather forecast but you can’t change it to your location. You have to email their support team and tell them where you live so they can change it from their end. I was forced to see Oregon weather from Texas. You can’t make this stuff up. Great idea but it’s only for a family to call an elderly person from their phones. They refuse to add option for person with screen to call out or to have a screen to screen video chat. One side has to have a phone. Because of that, I’m returning them all. I just want to make sure people understand the very specific use of these and that they’re are not willing to add that simple function to broaden their target clients.

My 92 year old Dad is now in assisted living and has dementia. Since many of the family do not live nearby, I have been looking for a way to be able video chat with him, without him having to manage an electronic device. At best it was not easy for him, and now with the dementia, it is even more confusing for him. The ViewClix is what I have been looking for, and did not think I would find! This device will enable family and friends to video call Dad to keep him engaged and help his mental capacity. And he will not even have to touch the device! I have set up the ViewClix and tested it a bit. When we get it to Dad and see how it goes, I will report back again. However, I feel sure that this will be great based on what I have seen so far. Not only can we call and the device will answer automatically enabling us to see Dad and he will see us. But I can send photos and messages to the device for him to see. For instance, if a family member has a birthday, I will put a message on the frame reminding Dad that. Or a special message for the holidays, etc. Set up was very easy! I'm excited to get this to Dad to be able to see him more! This is a great electronic frame also. However, Dad already has a terrific electronic frame (Aura-great!) with many, many photos on it, which he loves. Since he has that, we will primarily use the ViewClix for video calls and special messages to Dad. I'll let you know how it goes, but so far.....it's great!
