Back on the memory lane again 😊
Well, back in the mid-80s I was into anything heavy. I had the legendary albums Melissa and Don't Break The Oath from the Danish extreme metal band Mercyful Fate and Fatal Portrait, Abigail and Them from King Diamond's own band on cassettes.I was a really immense Iron Maiden fan and Mercyful Fate had similar attitudes to atmospheric epics with twin guitar solos to early Maiden. Then I lost myself in the melodies of the beautiful musical world of the 60s and 70s and stopped being interested in Mercyful Faith and their ex-frontman King Diamond's solo career. In early June I noticed this EP on Amazon with songs like Come To The Sabbath, Curse Of The Pharaohs and Black Funeral. This six-song EP was released to promote Mercyful Fate renunion and their new album in 1994 when the charismatic singer King Diamond joined forces with his old guitarists Hank Sherman and Michael Denner again.I found the price reasonable and ordered it. Since then I have managed to visit the good old memory lane with the help of this CD. If you have ever liked Mercyful Fate or King Diamond, you will love it! Get it and play it loud!By the way, as far as I remember the drummer Snowy Shaw's birthday is today! Happy Birthday, Snowy; you do brilliantly on this EP!
