5HP 4KW VFD, Single-Phase to 3-Phase Converter, Used on ≤4.8HP(3.5kW) 16Amps 200-230V 3-Phase Motor, Input/Output 200V-230V,Variable Frequency Drive

At this point I've installed 9 of these VFDs and they have been great. I had one arrive DOA, and I had one fail due to a roof leak that dumped water on it, otherwise, no failures in 6 years. The only knocks I'd give them are a very poorly written chinglish manual and a non-standard MODBUS interface. I did get MODBUS to work after about 2 weeks of heavy debugging and altering the protocol. Everything else works fine. One note - if you buy an HY series (instead of GT series) be sure to specify that you want the braking resistor circuit installed. While they advertise it has having braking they don't populate that circuit unless you specifically request it (no extra charge).

I wanted to give an update on my issue. Huanyang's customer service is top notch. They responded quickly and assured me that they would take care of the issue after Amazon was out of stock on the model that I order and really wanted. Huanyang customer service shipped me a replacement of the model that I originally purchased and wanted. Once I received the replacement VFD and verify it works as expected. I will update this post again. Based on my previous experience with Huanyang VFD I expect it to be excellent quality and performance. That was one of the reasons I was so disappointed when the first one did not power on. I will let everyone know as soon as I get it if it meets my expectations.

Works great, easy setup, I'm using this to run my milling machine.

My objective was simply to control the speed of a 3-phase motor; so this VFD was very easy to get running. I tried using 10/2 SOOW wire to connect the VFD to the power, but it was a bit too large. 12/2 worked great...using the E, R, and T for ground and the two hot wires. I connected the other end of these wires to a 30A plug so I could move it easily if I wanted to. After connecting the UVW terminals to the 3 input wires of the motor, it was all ready to go. I would have liked to see some type of strain relief for the wires going into the VFD. Also, a variable speed fan would cut down on some of the noise when the VFD isn’t being pushed to its limits. All in all, I would buy it again.

I had a problem with the VFD I bought. They said they would send me another. I had a new one delivered within 2 days. I got it installed and it works great! They did this with no hassle or cost to me. Thank You Huanyang

I'm using this VFD to drive a 5HP 3Phase hydraulic pump motor. I had one of the "earlier" VFDs and it wasn't able to operate the motor with it's heavy starting load. When I changed to the GT model, it works perfectly! Could NOT be happier! For the techienerds out there this VFD is running a 3600 RPM 3 phase 5HP TEFC that operates a 3000PSI 60 ton hydraulic forging press.

I installed this on my cnc milling machine to run a 5 HP 3 phase motor. I use Mach 3, a C10 and a C6 board to control this VFD and it works very well. Excellent bargain for the money.

I am impressed with how well this works but am curious to see how long it will last. So far so good though

Works very well for my 3 Hp motor. Able to start, stop, reverse direction and control rpm using cnc programs with centroid acorn.

installed on my 3 hp engine lathe. works excellent. asked a few questions by e-mail ,recieved very prompt responses.will buy another for my mill

I haven't yet installed it. It was purchased to replace another vfd that the display has quit on. I am still using the original vfd but this one is in standby in case it totally fails.
