This Australian necklace is set with a detailed kookaburra charm, suspended by two links with chrysoprase and mookaite beads. Mookaite is mined in Western Australian and is a colorful variety of jasper. The pendant is attached to a solid stainless steel trace chain, measuring 20 inches in length. There is a wire wrapped mookaite bead attached next to the clasp. The kookaburra measures 1 inch in length and is hand-cast here in Australia out of premium pewter. Kookaburras, a native Australian bird species, are part of the terrestrial tree kingfisher family and are famous for their territorial call which sounds to us like laughing.
