The product definitely works and works well. I am a smoker and I do sometimes like to smoke with-in an air conditioned room with windows and doors closed. The product worked well and i was impressed. In fact a fried who is a non-smoker did mention that pre-air purifier days when me and my friends used to smoke in the room with AC switched off and windows open the friend could not sit in the room and was very suffocating for the friend. But post installing this particular air purifier it was comfortable for the friend to sit the room, we did open the window at few occasions. Very Easy to use, build quality is good, its very effective, air quality improves in the room.

Good, very effective at air purification. Only problem is filter runs out fast and replacement seems unavailable anywhere :(

I have another Sharp room purifier (FP-J80M) and had great experience with it so decided to buy this one for living room because it has filters on both side and as per manufacturer gives coverage of 930 SQ Feet. 1. Sharp is the only brand offering higher quality HEPA 14 filters. 2. The inbuild AQI sensor is nice - can bring down AQI to healthy levels if you run it in haze mode for 10-15 minutes. 3. I can tell it makes a huge difference because most of my symptoms (cough / allergies) have stopped after deploying this. 4. In auto mode machine is quite silent - you will not even notice it. 5. Replacement HEPA will cost you around 4.5k and can last up to 1-2 years depending upon the maintenance and usage. I feel this price is justified considering the quality Sharp offers. (These are not always available at amazon, and you have to call customer care - they will send someone to your house to inspect / install the filters). 6. The cloud app is nice but is a bit slow.

S40 is such a useless product, don't think it really works. Room was so polluted, just turned it on but it's indicator is always BLUE, showing 'purified air'. How can that be? Returning the piece to go for a better model

Update after 6 months of continuous usage: This is an amazing air purifier. Even in Delhi, the performance has been the same even after 6 months of continuous usage. The filters seem almost new and I think will easily last 2 years in a normal city and at least 1 full year in a polluted mess like Delhi. No quality problems either. Everything has been working as new and I am very happy with the Sharp quality. **** Original review in March 2021: Purchased this yesterday morning from seller 'Brand Authorised Sales' and received it same day evening. Packaging and delivery was top notch and in brand sealed condition. I was able to register the purifier with Sharp. I've been using Philips AC2887 air purifiers for the last 2 years, but I needed something with more coverage for the living room. This Sharp FP-J60 is perfect for that. It's about 50% bigger than the AC2887 and is able to easily handle the air purification in a 50 square meter space. Where the AC2887, which is meant for bedroom use, would take over 1 hour to go below 30 for PM2.5, this does that in about 15-20 mins. The HEPA filters are the same thickness and quality as the Philips so I think both are quality products from a performance perspective. However, this Sharp FP-J60 just oozes quality - typical for Japanese products. It looks very sophisticated in the living room, whereas the Philips looks utilitarian. The plastics, touch controls, display, everything just looks, feels and is built to a really high quality and finish. The fan is relatively quiet but does have an audible hum at the medium and highest fan settings. Still quieter than the Philips. I also really like the Auto timer ON/OFF feature. Cons? Can't think of anything yet. It's working better than I expected so Five stars and totally recommended for people who care about their Air quality and like to invest in high quality products for their spaces. I am using it from 1 month and i live in delhi.. pollution level is very high here but with this it improves air quality . Even i loved its design and quality and also it is value for money.. now air in my room becomes so fresh
