Citrus Magic Pet Odor Absorbing Solid Air Freshener Fresh Citrus, 20 Ounces

O love all Citrus Magic products, I found them in a health food shop about 15 years ago, the orange room spray, which once used you can never go back, powerful & natural, just like a big bucket of fruit in the room, covers odours amazingly as well. I'm using this one with an odour issue in my car and it seems to be working really well, car just smells fresh, not overpowering and it's huge, so should last for ages.

Very efficient and long lasting - definitely absorbs damp pet and cooking smells. Long lasting. Quick delivery.

Not a very strong smell, cant say it has helped a great deal. Wont buy another one

I have wasted money in the past on air fresheners that just don't do what they claim. This one even though it is expensive, lasts for ages and does exactly what I hoped it would do. No more wet doggy smell.

Dosent get rid of odours at all smells 4 first few days then nothing

Doesn't eliminate dog smell completely, but does help to keep it at bay.

The bottom line is that this eliminates about 70% of odors in about a 5 ft. radius for approx 6 weeks wherever I place it. To get into more details- I have used it next to a cat litter box- 1 cat, small apartment, changing litter daily. as well as a diaper pail, in a small enclosed linen closet. The odor eliminator (purchased 2) worked very well in both locations. Isolating the odor to the pail itself, and to the litter box. I knocked off one star- for as the weeks passed, the odor started to linger around the box and pail, creating somewhat of an aura. This Product also seems to have a very strong smell- for the first 36-48 hours- which dies off quickly. This can be good or bad- depending on your needs. If your the type of person who is hypersensitive to artificial smells, and prefers to smell "nothing" not good, not bad- just nothing- this may not be the product for you- at least not in the first 48 hours. After that point, the smell greatly decreased, and it was much easier to just forget about the areas in question... While this is definitely not a fix all solution.- It does not take care of the underlying cause- you'll still have to maintain things. or take care of the odor that your trying to cover (or rather eliminate.. as this actually neutralizes more than anything) This is a good tool in the arsenal.. especially in small spacer, or open spaces.

I didn't have much hope for this product - my cat box lives in my basement and other cats have clearly also had litter boxes in this spot (and I suspect they may not have been 100% with their aim). Suffice to say, that corner of the basement gets pretty funky. I've tried a number of odor mitigation techniques, and none have worked. But this does. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I love the smell - it has a chemical-like quality to it. But it's really limited the funkiness of the basement. The citrus odor is noticeable but not overpowering. It really seems like it's absorbing and not just masking the smell. I'll definitely be buying more.

We recently moved and the previous owners had a cat litter box in one of the finished/carpeted rooms in the basement. The whole room smelled like cat litter for weeks after we moved in. I cleaned the carpet, but still smelled cat litter and was afraid to even store anything in the room because I didn't wan't it to smell. I figured I would try this because it was cheap. To be fair, the smell was a little overwhelming for about the first day. However, it mellowed out a little after that and now the room smells fairly decent...just a hint of citrus. Not sure that this eliminated the smell for good, but now I can at least store things in that room without them reeking of cat litter.

I have used a similar brand like this in a smaller size in the past. I thought this would work as I was setting up a subscription for monthly delivery. I received the first container last month. It did have a pleasant and adequate smell, and did help with eliminating the odor from the kitty litter...for about 6 days. Since then I can't smell it. It is not helping with the kitty litter odor either. I am not sure whether it is because of the larger size, or from being a different brand. I may give the smaller size a try, but I am cancelling the subscription on this one.

We had a smell in our upstairs hallway that wouldn't go away, no matter what I did or how I cleaned. Months after my son's Diaper Genie was gone the smell still lingered. I bought this jar out of desperation, hoping to suck up the scent. At first, the citrus smell was strong, even with the top sticker only partially removed. After a week or so, that smell faded to a mellow lemon-y scent at best but the horrible hallway smell was gone. It's been about a month now and the hallway smells like nothing now, which is exactly what I wanted. Good buy.
